You ever read the series of books by D. Brown where B-52's got modiefied into "escort" vessels outfitted with jamming gear, anti-radiation missiles and anti-aircraft weapons?

Is it ok to read those books if you're a B-52 fan and not a D Brown one?

Why are all the cool planes the old ones? Tomcat, B-52, Phantom II, Warthog....only cool modern plane is the F-22

Yeah, Dale does nice things with the B-52. He also has some fun with B-1s and B-2s
