Still have not gotten my full copy yet grumble. Of the ones from the prototype I am big fan of the bulldog. Nice vehicle for an operator and good sleeping/sanitary facilities for a normal sized group of adventurers.

Gunwolf...its just so evil looking. Give it a pack of robot wolves and that is just evil.
The two medical robot vehicles, especially the small one, look like great mobile bases for adventurers.

Right now, Gunwolf hands down.
I've currently only got the Prototype book. When I get the full I may ammend my choice. Likely not. But possible.
Can't wait to play as part of an NG Wolf pack.

Gotta go with Gunwolf...serious good looks on that bruiser.

I finally had a chance to read through all the new bots that were not in the prototype. I think gunwolf and bull dog are still top of my list for overall fav mechs although the super max is a hella fun looking light robot vehicle.
I was surprised to see a lot of the newly added bots like the ogre and the scorpion are also flagged as "exploration" vehicles with crew living quarters/sanitary facilities along the lines of the bull dog and the okemos.
So for those wanting some group support/protected sleeping areas there are a lot of choices now.
Okemos for light combat fast exploration
Scorpion for a good light mech with stronger combat capabilities. With the nose backhoe and the chainsaw claw/grippy claw it makes a pretty good combat engineering mech for setting up improvised forts/camps when in the field.
Bull dog middle weight armor wise and combat capability and room for a bit more crew and storage capabilities.
Ogre big fattie but more of a big construction vehicle/support vehicle than a combat vehicle.
Then you have the two hospital mechs and the two behemoths.
If a group has a vehicle to help store the goodies the Jr med robot vehicle is a really excellent mobile base/salvage mech. With its strength and tools on its arms it would be almost as popular to operators as it would to medics. Pretty good step between the huge behemoths and things like the bull dog size/crew wise.

oh forgot to give honorable mention to the grizzly for fav combat mechs. Sure its slow as hell but if you have something you want to guard and the opponents have to come to you this baby is the mech for you. This thing sneers at sharp shooters who like to shoot out a combat mechs "main guns". Some sharpshooter takes out one of your guys and you just grin and say I got a LOT more where that came from.
The weapon load out versatility on it and a few of the other mechs is something I always pictured being a NG thing they may not make the bestest strongest things out there but being actual consumer focused manufacturer work with the customer to give them the weapons load out they are looking for.
Grizzlies are nearly ideal for defensive oriented merc groups like many of the ones guarding the NG. Working at a defensive base or in its area of a home base it would be pretty easy for operators to tweak the weapons load out to meet whatever forces they expect the grizzly to encounter. Huge swarms of xiticix switch to energy weapons and some long range rail guns, fighting stuff immune to energy weapons like vampires switch to all railgun loadouts with specialty ammo.
The grizzly is never going to chase anything down but if you are guarding something the opponent wants to/has to attack it would be hard to pick a better mech for the job.
