What's medium powered to you?

Everyone knows the high powered OCC's and RCC's like the Cosmo Knight and everyone knows the low end Vagabonds. What to you falls in the center of that?

Gritty Game = Far from civilization. Little to no Military Designated [MD] Gear. No inate powers. Honestly not what Rifts was meant for [IMHO] but some people imagine it that way.

Low Power = Limited to standard MD body armor and classic rifles/pistols. No Power Armor. No full augmenation [May include limited cybernetics, individual juicer drugs, Minor/Major psionics, Amature Magicians]

Mid Power = Augmented Humans. Borgs, Juicers, Crazies, Personal/Light Power Armor, Master Psychics, Dedicated Magicians.

High Power = Heavy Conversion Borgs, Robot Vehicals, Master Psychic Mage Combinations, Dragons, High Powered Supernatural Beings, Mega or Tricked out versions of Mid Power Characters.

Cosmic = Cosmo Knights, Promethians, Godlings/Demi Gods, Augmented Super Beings, Spaceships, Conservaters, Characters with custom gear that doesn't exist in the books but some how sneaks into your game anyways.

That is the best breakdown I've ever seen... well done!

Except for High Powered Supernatural Beings. That term is too subjective to define anything. A Supernatural Intelligence is a High Powered Supernatural Being :D .

Although I typically see Rifts being somewhere between gritty and low powered, with areas where Mid and Heavy are prominent.

Low Powered is usually where the GM is a real wuss or a munchkin and wants to lord his MDC monsters over the poor party. These types of games generally don't allow magic, PA, juicers, borgs, hatchlings, etc.

High Powered is usually where the GM has no control so people are playing cosmo knights that are godling lizard mages and such, or have 5 super abilities and are HU mutants or whatever other sillyness the PCs can slip through.

Medium is a sane game. The happy game. The balanced game. :) PCs are MDC either through race or through armor (typically in the 100-300 MDC range), can deliver 6d6 MD to 1d6x10+10 MD per shot with a weapon or psi sword or whatever. The level usually ranges from 3rd to 8th. The party actually has a chance against most monsters...

Nice lists, but these can be in any of the cat's.
And In the games I've been in, your cosmic cat is what I would label as High powered.
The highest cat on my scale is Uber powered. Which involves chars that are more powerful then the basic chars in your cosmic cat. i.o.w, a power cat where the chars are those min-maxed, chars that take advantage of where the rules break down, or broken rules, or where the rules do not cover. The Uber power level camp. is one where My SDC-1 NS or my Macross quarter NS would fit right in. *maniechial laughter in the background*

Mid-power: Anything out of the Rifts Ultimate Edition rulebook, and anything in other books that is about equal.

High-power: Anything that would modify something from the Rifts Ultimate Edition rulebook, and make it better without any real drawbacks, and anything equal to that. Borgs with access to the various cybernetic options from basically everywhere would count as high-power.
