Rifts Europe

Unread post by gaby »

I see the majorty of European Kingdoms/city-states to be limited in population size to 60000 or smaller,in France and Spain with Important resouces or under the Protection of Warlords or some thing else.
Ther could be some unique D-Bees
Ther could still be some Undiscover Military depot.
The Effect of the War between The NGR and Gargoyles.
A map the show where Ley lines are at ther storgest.

How do you see Rift Europe?

Rifts Great Britain
Rifts Triax
Rifts Mindwerks
Rifts Warlords of Russia
Rifts Mystic Russia
You'll also find maps in the Rifts Adventure Guide and the GM's Compendium

They're all worthwhile investments if you're interested in Rifts Europe and what's been covered thus far(Scandanavia has yet to be covered in detail, likewise southern Europe(unless you include the New Roman Republic from Rifter #1)

There have also been some fan takes on Europe in these forums(but you'll have to do some digging with the forum search engine...try using terms like 'France' and 'Spain' and specify Rifts for the search focus).

There are. I am working on a Sovietski Sourcebook right now, and there are future plans for at least 2 other books that I know of.

Do you know which areas in Europe the other two books are going to cover?

The talk would seem to indicate Scandanavia as the most likely, sicne it's been hinted strongly that there's a high-tech kingdom there....France and Spain(or at least the Blood Druids) are likely the subject of the other.

I heard about the Blood Druids in World Books 4 and 5, so I assumed there might be a France/Spain World Book in the works. Scandinavian Peninsula's countries sounds like a wonderful region to be placed in a World Book. Hello, Swedish Bikini Team. :D

Then France will be getting a World Book of its own, after Spain?

THe Iberia book will include bits about France, even though it technically isn't Iberia.

I'm currently in the brainstorming phase of an Eastern Europe world book. I'll have a summary and proposal to show to Kevin. Should be pretty cool. I'm going to make Eastern Europe really weird.

Scandinavian

Boy this brings back great memories here on the Boards. Anyone else remember way back when (Pre-2000 board) of the Scandinavian posts.

Anywho...

I Hope the Norse Gods are Back and Active in Scandinavian.
Because I have them back and Openly running the area. Technology is High because of the Aesir themselves. I have them seeing Technology and Magic as one and the same. High-Tech Science is Melded with Magic in so many ways were the two are close to being TW, but something completely new. I believe I named something like Mystic-Technologies or MT.
Odin Himself taught this magic to the people of Midgard in return for Worship and a promise from the people to held keep Ragnarok at bay should it come.

I even Created a Mystic-Technication OCC to build these things.

We need more GODS showing Interest in Rifts in General.

You know my feelings, I've made not an attempt to hide them.
Make it Rifters article about the New Roman Repubblic(with Wolfen) canon.
After all is already very close to be such. :)

Emperor Ryu wrote:That sounds great. I really like to know what has been going on in the Eastern Bloc in more details, during the time of Rifts. :) I have to ask, will this include Turkey and Greece too? I wonder if there will be a Balkans World Book in the future. In any case, I hope you get the okay to proceed. Good Luck, RoadWarriorFWaNK. :ok:

My idea is to cover the geographic region including Hungary, Romania, the Balkans, down into Macedonia, Greece, and Turkey. Kevin may only want a smaller chunk of this, or he may want to split it up into 2 or 3 books. or he may hate the whole thing. we'll see.

We need more GODS showing Interest in Rifts in General.

ugh, no we dont. :ugh:

Will Eastern Europe run on brownies like the NGR? :D Can't wait to see if this comes out!

ha ha, you have no idea.

Interesting. Thanks, The Galactus Kid. :)

I wonder if Toledo, Spain is still around, after the great cataclysm.

Gosh! I hope not. I'd like to see a completely revamped Iberian peninsula, and not just a Riftered Spain with a Matador OCC and all that "typical Spanish" rubish! :badbad:

I remember vaguely, but apparently I can't seem to pull up any info on those old boards.

So any hints at to what's in your Rifts Scandinavia book then? And I assume it's going to be about the Nordic countries, not just Scandinavia, right?

There are some hints in Triax 2.
