Ok this is just a question about who you think would win in this ood paring of fantasy sides.

Team A
Bearman Mercenary Warrior.
Lizard Mage (Only a 1st level Wizard and no multi class spells)
Maledon Warrior Monk

Team B
Witch with the gift of strength. Increased PP,Increased PS, and super tough
8th level summoner with a flying turtle from M&A and an Alpine Monitor from Northern Hinterlands
4th level Jeridu Beastmaster with an alpine monitor and hawk familiars.

Team B wins, hands down.

1: While the Bearman mercenary is tough, a pair of Alpine Monitors will keep him occupied long enough for the Jeridu to come deal with him after killing the Maledon. Each monitor is as big or bigger than the bearman, and when they go in to feeding frenzy mode, they'll give him a run for his money, quite possibly pinning him until the others decide to finish him off.

2: The Lizard Mage is a wuss at level 1. The Witch beats the crap out of him with his fists, while the summoner laughs and tries to decide which organs to extract for components.

3: While the Maledon's natural combat ability is impressive, it is no match for the Jeridu's ability to attack between 60 and 80 times per melee (depending on skill selection). Combat will last less than one melee.

4: The hawk and the flying turtle won't get involved. The turtle is generally peaceful, and has no bone to pick here. The hawk would just get in the way.

You know you're going to have to reshuffle these teams around. The Beastmaster totally has it in for the super awesome Summoner, I'm not really sure why though.

Yeah I was just going on the basic hope that everyone would actively join in the fight.. There always is the potential chickening out factor.

Metamorpha wrote:The teams are better balanced than that. You forgot to mention the Jeridu will probably run away, tattoo the names of his teammates on his arm because they fought bravely, then blame their deaths on whoever lives aside from himself (most likely on the summoner) ;)

I still find the tattoos hilarious, because he has the name of a character that hated him tattooed on one of his "remembrance" arms. Meanwhile the super awesome summoner, the noble and some wizard are on his "To Kill" arms. What did he expect a low level summoner and noble to do in a large battle?

Oh yeah, the Jeridu totally had a chance to kill the super awesome summoner while he was trapped in the cloud of slumber.
