Pre-Rifts Giant Robots

Unread post by Library Ogre »

I know that there were larger-than-man sized power armors (the USA G-10, for example), but were there any honest-to-goodness Giant Robots (UAR-1 sized) before the Rifts that we know of? Things that are mentioned as being a pre-Rifts design that saw use?

Yes. That is correct.

It's set during and right after the Great Cataclysm.

Even if those particular robot designs don't survive to 109PA, the fact that the exist answers a question I had.

Alot of the early Coalition vehicles were based on the old specs, though no known cases of them turning up after the 'Nemen's last stand'.

I think it's in the new sourcebook 1 but I read that the UAR-1 was descended from one of the NEMA robot designs. I can't remember which one, I don't have my books handy right now.
