Hounds and lesser/greater semantics

from NB main book
pg 143 (Protection Circle: Lesser) "Greater beings, such as vampires, elementals, Hounds"
pg 144 (Banishment) "forces one lesser super natural being .. Works against Hounds"
pg 149 (Sanctum) "Lesser monsters cannot enter unless they save vs magic (includes Hounds"

The last two seem to classify Hounds as "lesser"

PC:L seems to be the odd man out in designating them as 'greater'.

Is it maybe just so weak that it divides lesser SNBs/monsters into subsequent lesser/greater designations purely in respect to that spell?

wondering for other cases where it might matter how they're classified where we don't have explicit text about how to rank a Hound

also would you apply these rules the same to Greater Hounds or Hound Masters, or maybe make them immune to Banishment/Sanctum?

There are Great Hounds, perhaps that will provide the distinction you seek?

I was thinking that yeah, let PC:L work against normal ones but not Greater/Master ones.

Not sure on Hunters though, they're lumped in with Hounds in how these 3 spells work. They seem better than hounds but not as impressive as masters

I'd count Hunters the same as Hounds.
