Zombies & Heat

I was re-reading the Dead Reign books, and the bits about Zombies not being seen by Thermal Vision items got me to thinking. Wouldn't they have some minor heat coming off of them as they move around, due to friction of the movement, set them apart from the background radiation?
I only ask, because in the ARMA 2/3 DayZ game(s) you can easily tell the Zombies apart from the background heat while looking through a thermal scope.

I'd think they would give off friction heat just as anything else would.

It's just one of the many things Palladium gets wrong. Hell, decomposition cause heat and they would be a degree or so warmer then the background.

Cold slows down decomp so they would not give off thermals in subzero.

The zombies still decay but they don't have normal life processes so though they would be colder than a human body they should also be warmer than the ambient temperature.

It's unclear if their decay is the same as hours though... Even the ones with bugs.
