In the description of the Eyes of Eylor in the Atlantis book, I noticed this comment:
All eyes can regenerate 1D4X10 M.D.C. per minute and can
instantly create an armor of Ithan force field around them (this field
is sometimes expanded to include a larger bio-wizard body or area
and therefore weakens the protection of the eyes themselves, as is
the case of the Splugorth Slave Barge)
So does this include the body of a person who has Eyes of Eylor implanted in them? And if so what is said MDC? My initial thought would be as per the spell (10 MDC per level)-in this case level of the host.
The Fire Eater bio-borg also makes mention of the ability of the Eyes of Eylor to create a forcefield "around itself and it's host"
For that matter, Commander Grey of the Shadow Warriors brings up a conundrum. He has eyes of eylor, described as slightly larger. But if Eyes of Eylor are limited to baseball sized, it should take up most of the interior of his skull. So are there actually smaller (Golf ball sized?) eyes that are intended for implantation into people? Or does a baseball size one get reduced through bio-wizard transformation?
Eye of Eylor force fields?

Rifts is full of contradictions. Reconcile them as you like.

Re: Eye of Eylor force fields?
From the picture commander grey has abnormally large eyes. So i'd say they are baseball sized, and his head was altered by biowizardry to make them fit.

Ha! This is probably the best answer available. THere's not going to be a paragraph hidden in some world book that makes this all make sense and gives you all the numbers for it to work.

Re: Eye of Eylor force fields?
I noticed the Eye price in the slave section is 100 million+, and the one in the bio-wizard section is 20 million or so and does not do as much. So I guess for my campaign will just have both typs, if you want the eye-forcefield (Or spells), you pay the extra 80 million+ for them.
They either altered Grey's skull or the Eye's size. Bio-Wizardry could likely do either. I suppose it's subjective as to which they did.
