I'm just hoping we'll get the stuff left out of Shadows of Light (ie Illuminti, Sanguine Legion, Templars, etc) tossed in a rifter somewhere along the way.

From what little bit I've heard about it... it's really good stuff.

The Sanguine legion and Templars were both in Shadows of Light... not sure about the Illuminati, they might have been in TtGD. Do you want further information or something?

According to the author, all this stuff was in the origional manuscript, but didn't make it.

Yeah, but there's another Templar group in Shadows of Light, they make the Vampire Slayer OCC.

Palladium owns it. It's probably unlikely that it'll see the light of the day.

Be that as it may, there was information on them in Shadows of Light, so they were not 'left out'. That's why I was asking if you meant additional source material.

What else would he mean? Last I heard Jason had asked for them to put it in a Rifter, but I don't know.

There was a lot of material that hit the cutting room floor because of space considerations. There are a number of references to that material still in the book.

Sorry I'm late, all....

There was a substantial section (probably would have topped 20 pages long after layout) on secret societies cut from Shadows of Light, which contained full writeups on the "true" Knights Templar, the Sanguine Legion, the Illuminati, and the Druids, as well as guidelines for writing up new secret societies. What you have in the final product on the Sanguine Legion and the Templars only barely scratches the surface of what I wrote about them, and a lot of gaps could be filled in with the release of the material.

When I recieved the notice that the section had been cut, Kevin reminded me that the entire manuscript was the property of Palladium and that I wasn't permitted to freely distribute it. He said he didn't know what he was going to do with it, and to my knowledge it's still buried on his desk somewhere .

I've e-mailed Wayne a couple times about getting it into the Rifter or posting it on Palladium's or my website, but I haven't heard anything from them at all by way of an answer, so sadly, my hands are still quite tied in that area. I'd love to be able to share it with you all...but that's where we stand right now.

I just sent Wayne another e-mail asking about the status of the material. If/when he gets back to me I'll let you all know what's up.

So, when do we start a mail in petition? I made a few personal omissions to the SoL book... like there will never be mention of "void ships" in any of my games. And, I didn't like the way the Dark Guardian was done, but now that I've had time to think about it... I like the flavor of the DG and even began using them in games. And, I would really love to get a hold of this deleted material just to have it.

Yeah, the Voidships do seem to be a bit out of place in that setting, but I'm sure that the right GM with the right ideas can make them work.
