Can you use this spell to defend yourself from the magical energy attack "Call Lightning" Spell?

Yes, however be aware of two factors:
1. the way the TD and CL are worded the deflection would not return to the caster, TD says per text which for CL is per text again coming down from the sky
2. TD does allow you to Deflect the shot to something other than source, but does so "without any bonuses and needs a 16 or higher to strike."
