Rail Gun Rounds

How much would the average rail gun round weigh individually? Any canon sources would be appreciated, but I'm happy to hear educated speculation as well! :)

Under a lot of railguns, they list a weight for additional ammo boxes and their capacity.

Take the listed weight and divide it by the amount of ammo; the ammo weighs slightly less than the number you get because the box weighs something.

Heh, problem with my first post is that it could be more accurate.
Or rather, with enough math, we could figure out the approximate weight of the boxes themselves as well.

Under certain railguns it will list multiple containers and give weights for them.
What we actually need to do is do that math for all the possible boxes (for each particular railgun).

Then we take from that the lightest railgun ammo (and deduct a slight amount to account for the box); this would then give us an approximate weight for the other ammo boxes and a more precise number for the weight of each round.

We then cross-reference this with all instances of other railguns using the same ammo as another in its class; I believe the C40R (the SAMAS railgun) and the C30R (the railgun mounted on that CS hovercar, and one of the best railguns out there) use the exact same ammo (I am remembering a canon reference stating this).

This then gives us the closest weight approximation we're likely to get for a particular rail-round.
