1. Red Hawk PA, Merc Ops

2. Mecha-Knight, Mercenaries

3. Tech-Warrior, Naruni Wave 2

(May have to detour to Merc Town to get the Naruni stuff)

Ive always been partial to the Triax Predator PA, although its 100 MDC lower in SB1 Revised than in previous printings of the power armor. Ive just always enjoyed that 1D4X10 laser (unlimited payload, same damage as a rail gun) and extra armor (350 vs 250 of an old style SAMAS...well the old version anyway). Plus, its fairly common on the market in North America. If im not mistaken, SB1 states it has the same bonuses as the SAMAS for the Elite training, or at least very similar.

No toe stepping on a glitter boy in terms of hardware. Now the anti robot OCC bonuses might make the GB pilot jealous :)

Probably because there is a "market" variant with lower MDC
and the NGR Army version, not marketed in North America.

The Predator is nice, but I would recommend the Flying
Titan or the Grasshopper - both with a satchel full of
can-opener charges (probably fusion blocks).

The various SAMAS/Silver Eagle variants are good as
hardware goes, but unless you are planning to p**s off
the CS, do not use them.

Adios

ps.: As an alternative, try a combat oriented TW with a
mystic power armor from RMB.

I'm a huge fan of the Ulti-max. My headhunter assassin pilots one and has been tearing things up for years.

In the end it comes down to cost and how outside the C.S. law you want to go???

Some groups I have seen do not want anything illegal because of trouble with the C.S. in that case the Red Hawk or Samson is the way to go.

With other some groups consider the Coalition as nothing more as target practice and their favorite place to shop for gear. in which case SAMAS all the way.

For myself if you do not want a Glitter Boy go with the SAMAS (the Free Quebec Violator if you can score one, but any variation will do.)

It has the best all around capability and as long as you steer clear of the Coalition, your fine.
I've got an advanced pre-rifts energy rifle, A soul drinking rune blade, living bio armor, and a hover truck full of nukes. So why do I feel under equipped for this??? (Sir Joe the Gardner 7th level Ogre Keeper of the garden on his first encounters with the Mechanoids)

Lets see....

A 'Bot Slammer headhunter out of Canada

As far as PA systems go I would take the Triax Predator as While the SAMAS is a good suit a Triax Predator can stay in a fight longer due to it's laser weapons.

Ah yes. Thanks Kagashi for pointing that out. I didn't read that all the way. Well, then I guess I'd have to throw my lot in with the Titan Heavy POWER ARMOR from Rifte #4. Its OFFICIAL MATERIAL, BABY!!! That thing is awesome, and DOES fly.

How about the Silver Wolf PA from Free Quebec? They were made to work along side Glitter Boys. It would make for a nice combo.

I'd go with a Silver (or Gold) Eagle or A Red Hawk PA from Merc OPS. Bothare reliable, local and easy to get parts for.

Also with GB can be quite effective.
