Poisons

Unread post by HarleeKnight »

I'm thinking about creating a character that uses poison coated blades, arrows, etc. I see lots of things to fight poison but no real mention of what poisons they are meant to fight, besides the Xiticix one. Where are the poisons listed and is there an OCC that is based around using and/or making poisons?

I would have to look in the book again, but I believe PFRPG has more information regarding poisons.

How can we not give you due support and credit?

Poisons are in PF2E p264-5 (more megaversal, but this list is going to be short AFAIK), WB21 has a poison (pg36), Herb Magic in WB3 (or BoM) might have something, a few Cybernetic/Bionic Systems have generic poison attacks (ex. Cyber Stinger), Flechette weapons in MiO (pg89) mention generic poison options, after this you are likely looking at utilizing poisons from other plant/creatures that have poison attacks (off hand the first two that come to mind are the Tiger Raptor in WB14 and the plants in WB26, but I'm pretty sure those are not the only examples) or specific spells exist that act as poison IIRC (out side of Herb Magic).

Use of poisons seems to be more of a story driven aspect than game mechanic aspect that you are looking for.

Mystic Herbology in Rifts England has some really nasty poisons in it.

England's Herbalist describes

Belladonna
2d6*10 damage
Paralysis for 2d6 minutes
Sick for 3d6 or 4d6 hours
It can be magicked up to 2d4*10 MD

Fox Glove
2d4*10 damage
Convulsions for 1d6 minutes

Jimsonweed
2d4*10 damage
Paralysis 1d4 minutes
Penalties for 3d6 hours

So I'm thinking a Blood Druid.
If you're feeling like you need more skills, Perhaps a Rifts Mercenaries Super Spy with Blood Druid powers.

It does say that within the last 15 years blood druids have shown up in east coast and magic zone...

Thank you Incriptus, I had completely forgotten I had asked about this before. I did a search before I asked this time and I did not see it. I will make note of it in the notebook I am now keeping with my character ideas that I did not have last year.

The Scathach in Rifts: England can make both blades and arrows, as well as the Mystic Herbology poisons mentioned above. It's also a fair fighting class.
