Ive done that twice. Both are macross vehicals. A valkaree and the SDF-1.

The valk. bane has a missles feture that works much like the gunlimbe feature. you gots burn off PPE to get them. and the Bane'sfree starting talent lets it mechmorph (change modes: Gerwalk, jet, robot)

The SDF-1 bane using the features from Rifter 20, ended up a huge **** magnant.

There's all kinds of sources you can draw on for Nightbane morphi. Devilman, by Go Nagai, is one. Resurrection of Monstress (Monstless) can be used for female Nightbanes (Masked Phanteana is my favorite). Even though he is maligned by Nightbane players on the whole, Todd Macfarlane's stuff can be used as inspiration.

Mostly, I just come up with my own stuff. :)

I like to use characters from my favorite fighting games as a basic template. I go to an image generator like Hero Machine to make a pic I can modify to suit, then I go to Nightbane and start the die rolling. By adding the extra step of image generating, I don't subconsciously try to recreate perfectly another character.
The pic also helps me coordinate colours.
