Are Ultucan Actually Dragons?

Unread post by Giant2005 »

From their description in Dragons and Gods: "The Ultucan's arms are bat-like wings with a single clawed finger in the middle."
That sounds a lot like their front limbs and wings are one in the same, which should make them a Wyvern, not a Dragon. Dragons have 4 limbs plus wings whereas Wyverns have two limbs plus wings.
Although, if a Ultucan wants to call itself a Dragon, I don't think any of my characters would be willing to correct it.

Consider that the Kukulcan is also a dragon, and it looks like a bird ******* a monkey. I don't think the Palladium definition of dragons is the same as the one you are using.

Mark, thank you. I have to go protest my property taxes in a few hours and this was just the laugh I needed before I went out into the pouring rain to do that.

Chiang-Ku? Dragons seem to be defined by power not by biology.

I think classification of things in the Palladium universe has more to do with what Alchemists can use their body parts for than anything else.

"Can we use pieces of this... whatever it is... in place of regular dragon parts?"

If the answer turns out to be yes for just about any of the bloody bits and it doesn't seem to be a demon, devil, godling, etc., then it must be a dragon. Of some sort.
