Dragon hatchling and magic occs

Unread post by Narsuss »

how do you add a magic occ to the Chiang-ku? do you get all teh skills and ablilites from the occ and give up the dragon skills? do you still follow the dragon xp chart or do you start following the occ xp chart?

Ive always had an issue with rccs and how they work .

In my book experience, it can vary depending on the specific R.C.C. involved. About the Chiang-Ku in particular, i found this:

Rifts: England, pg. 49 wrote:Spells: The Chiang-Ku who studies spell magic like that used by a ley line walker or temporal wizard must learn the magic by the usual method of instruction from a mage. Knowledge gained from such tutelage is limited to magic, magic combat, language and reading skills from that O.C.C.; the other skills are not applicable.

The dragon's magic knowledge and powers increase per level, but the Dragon R.C.C. experience table is used rather than the O.C.C. table.

Does that help with your problem? Out of curiosity, what kind of PC or NPC you are tinkering with?
