Rifter 70: The Deep Frontier Discussion

Unread post by glitterboy2098 »

dedicated threads for new material is something of a tradition on several other game forums i frequent. helps to focus discussion.

also, since this is my first printed article, i'm a bit exited and anxious.

so, thoughts, comments, reviews.

also, Questions for the writer?

some of the 'sample' communities in the article have ties to the new navy yes. the Aurorans for example work with the new navy against the naut'yll (of course, the Aurorans would see it more as the new navy helping them), and one is actually a New Navy built community, part of their support networks.

the rest have been left intentionally vague, which means it's up to the GM to decide.

the nice thing about the article is that, as intended, you can use the material included to run the listed communities, or to create your own as needed. the included communities are meant to be examples of the larger communities, or those with some interesting details, to help show what kind of things can be done. most of the larger communities have smaller satellite communities, and there is nothing to stop a Gm from inventing their own.

in a sense, this gives a underasea's campaign something equivalent to what the "village in the wilderness" represents in a land based campaign

Sorry for necro posting in a 2 year old thread but I just got the PDF on this one. This is what was missing from underseas and it makes the us government spending trillions on a wacky undersea aircraft carrier logical.

Great loved it in rifter 70. Please do more

Thanks RM
