Psi-Mechanic in the PF world?

Unread post by drewkitty ~..~ »

How would you change the Psi Mechanic PCC to fit into the PF world & game?
Please state which game you are talking about translating the class from. I ask this because there are several PB games in which the PMs are in.

Side note: yes, there is the crystal mage in the 'I@tEotW' book that is similar in concept, but it was never stat'ed out as a full class.
May you be blessed with the ability to change course when you are off the mark.

I'd just play it as-is.
And I'd go with BtS (either version).

Alternatively, the Between the Shadows version from Nightbane. (A *third BtS!)

has looked at all three and rejected BTS1 and NB: BTS. However, the BTS2 still is just not right...as is. (Because it is a machine based class and the energies are tweaked to fit the BTS2 psi-system.(which is not the same as the majority of the PF games.))

Might have a write up of a new class soon.
But don't hold your breath.

Why'd you object to the BTS1 version?

BTS1: Perm PPE burn off.
NB:BTS: the const. rules are simplified too much.

Okay... what don't you like about that?

Edit: I don't particularly care where you're coming from; I'm just trying to understand, so I can better assist and advise.

Semi-perm spent is okay to me. But not burning off perm PPE for something that can be lost, stolen, or destroyed. & when combined with a very low starting PPE...bleck.
