If you were to pitch the book, I think you would want to take it offline. Self-publishing portions of it could kill any possible deal.

As with any writing project, send a proposal letter via snail mail with a cover letter asking if you can send them an outline. Be as professional as possible, and since you already have it written, you might just go ahead and send them the first three chapters with an outline for the rest along with your proposal.

Keep it simple. I'd include the cover letter, then all of chapters 1-3, and then summarize each add'l chapter in a paragraph or two.

I'd be very interested in seeing a CE novel reach our hands. I did read the Rifts novels and I enjoyed them.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."

Well its good to see Jason has got you covered with answers Shadow_Fighter_71. A Chaos Earth novel would be very cool and I hope it sees print. Given your situation perhaps you could send a PM to AlexM. Explain that you're in Iraq and maybe Palladium would accept the proposal electronically? I really don't know if they will, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Heck it could even be serialized in the Rifter. If you have any other kinds of questions feel free to post them or PM me.

Keep your head down and come home safe :ok:

I can't answer about the format they'd want it in. But you story theme sounds very cool! I think you might want to build a skeleton of ideas and then flesh it out with your novelization. You could even add the outline later as for what you want and hope to accomplish with at the end of it. I'm not sure what other information I can offer at this time. I'm working on a main line Science Fiction novel myself which has nothing to do with any of the PB holdings. I hope some of what I wrote down can help!

Keep you head down! Get back safely!

AlexM will be able to answer your formatting question. My fellow freelancers and I use the 8 1/2 by 11. Palladium will do the final formatting for you.

I kind of like the idea of the 82nd being a special unit (special forces?) of NEMA. With there being no mention of U.S. military assets that give you free licenses to develope it as you want. If you want some kind if tie in to Rifts maybe one of the characters likes the death head motif and has a tattoo, or has modified their armor or something to that effect. Perhaps its that symbol that lives on? Maybe they even modified a suit or power armor painting it black and adding the death head? I'm sure there are a bunch of ideas to tie it in. Just have fun and run with what you come up with.

I like the idea of you using your unit. Combined with your real life military experience and your RPG experience I'm really looking forward to this story!

Y'know, Chaos Earth would be a pretty good setting for a novel. Better than Rifts in a lot of ways.

Thank you.

I think your story idea sounds great, by the way. I hope to get to read it some day.
