You will find many instances within the sci-fi genre where human beings have 150+ year life spans. The Golden Age of mankind is no different, especially when you take into account that vital organs can be replaced with cybernetics, and gene therapy/genetic engineering is present.

This might have been mentioned before, but I was reading in Chaos Earth the other day that the longest recorded age on Chaos Earth was 225 years old. This would be impossible, as it means the person would have to be alive today and born in 1873. The oldest recorded person as of December 2009 is Kama Chinen of Japan at 114 years old. As of the first printing of Chaos Earth in June of 2003, the oldest recognized person in the world was Kamato Hongo, also of Japan, who was born in 1887 and was 116 years old. Even the oldest confirmed person in history, Jeanne Calment of France, was born in 1875 and lived until 1997 to be 122 years old. So I guess Chaos Earth really is an alternate reality (either that or the writers didn't bother to pay attention to world records for age when writing it).

So what?, it is only a game.

Ah, I see. I first looked at the Chaos Earth Errata thread and didn't see it there, but it is at the jasonrichards.net site.

It originally stated that people lived to be that old. The revision states that it's a life expectancy.

I do too, but as for Life Expectancy on C.E., that was another one of those original "errors" that we find, best to go ahead and say "It's life expctancy not actual age of someone living."

I though that Chaos Earth was set about 200 years in the furture...or did they changed that from Rifts...

Chaos Earth is/has always been Pre-Rifts. The setting is right as the apocalypse is happening (Dec. 22, 2098) and the period of time directly after it.
RIFTS is 200+ years in the future.

2098 A.D. = Chaos Earth
2389 A.D. = 103 P.A.

109 P.A. = 2394 A.D.
