Mechanimorphs??

Unread post by mechanoidfan »

Hi,

I remember a fan netbook about a civilisation stuck on a Mechanoid Planetkiller, and rules for constructing mecha, palladium-style.... I think it was spelt as the subject.

Is this netbook still about?

I have an old link to the Mechanimorphs page, but just checked it out and it seems to be "gone" and the main page just has a few mentions of it, and that part of it (the mecha stuff the person made) has gone to some sort of game system called "Open Core", and that the main page fails to have any links (that I can find) leading to the old Mechanimorphs stuff.

I also did a search on Google and came up with nothing but a few old sites that are either broken links or pop up a "page not found" message from Geocities.

Overall, I don't think it is really around anymore (at least not in any easy to find source), which is kind of a disapointment since it seemed to be an interesting setting.

The Mechanimorphs started as a Palladium Books™ netbook based on their Mechanoid Space™ universe. You can still find those rules out in the internet wilderness by searching for “Mechanimorphs” or (surprisingly) Author: “Jamie Borg” on your favourite P2P file-share program. I don't really know how that file got out there. I think one of the people I sent the file to for comments and proof-reading released it into the world. There is even an embarrassing “letter” to Palladium at the front saying how much I'd love to get published and stuff *blush*.

Heh sounds like I need to do a search on gnutella or something.

Thanks for the link!

Welcome to the boards mechanoidfan, I've managed to recreate half the site on my hardrive, and contacted the author who has now replied that he will look for an original copy. I'll get back to you later.

Yeah, I agree! Thank you for the link! It's a great website!
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."
