Splatterpunks are not to be allowed recoilless rifles. Especially not 6 of them, fire linked, when both bugs and friendlies are downrange.

To be fair to Ragnar, we already had more than 80% casualties in that area from the Wind Scorpions (we were at 80% in the first seconds of engagement... and it got worse from there)... I was one of the few people standing in that area who WASN'T a Bug.

An ONTOS?

Where in the world did your PC's dig up one of those? It's sort of like an M-42 "Duster" SPAAG. your don't find them at the nearest National Guard base.

Mark,

We're all sorry that you got fragged. Your Ghost will be summoned to attend the Wake. We will also be burning a couple million in "Hell Money" so you have something to spend in the afterlife.

PS: The bidding on Mark's gear starts in five minutes. :-D

Reminds me, I need to send an edited equipment list to the group, so they know what they can pick clean before my killer goes on trial.

I have never ever (30+ years GMing) "killed" a PC. :D

PCs have killed PCs or themselves. Either by stupidity, error in judgement, not retreating, not prepared for the fight, missing the intended target, etc.

It's NEVER the GM's fault.

That reminds me. I need to send the group a modified (i.e. "what survived the blast") list of my gear.

The last time I "Killed" A PC, he turned on the Active RADAR when the CS was flying Air Support overhead durring an Anti-Bandit mission. Needless to say the CS Flyboys/Girls(fun fact, women make better pilots just ask the Columbian Anti-Drug squads) saw the sudden RADAR source and did a missile run. I tried fudgeing the dice so that the people inside the vehicle could survive but....The guy who turned on the RADAR was blown to vapor. My Players and I had a discussion on if he had survived and the driver's string of dumb luck ended that day. Earlier the character had drove a truck bomb into said bandits HQ and tried to blow himself up. he didn't wear a seatbelt and so when he hit a baracade he went flying. His dumb luck roll said that insted of being blown apart by the Truckbomb he Bodysurfed the Blastwave. :-D

Oh, the Bidding on Mark's left boot starts now.

There is no left boot. Our resident splatterpunk rolled max damage with his spread of recoilless rifle charges.

Also a good warning don't give a bunch of players who roll 1 for strikes M1-A1. Also don't put their NORAD commander's tank in front of them.

That was one of the saddest moments in the series. That and Heart of Gold.

But anyway. Often, when a character gets axed, it's got less to do with the GM killing you, it's often the Player doing something stupid to get himself or others killed.

(PS. This should make 500 posts)

Incidentally, when we next played, I got about 3 lines with my new character (a Master Psychic who's part Sawbones)... although I took an active part in the debate about the life cycle of the Bugs.

My working theory: The Silk Worms are a larval stage, which turn into nymphs, which look a lot like Splicers.

They were pretty much Bug-designed Splicers in practice; don't know about in background.

Sounds interesting. Your people had an Ontos. Cool! They are neat looking vehicles. All of those recoiless rifles on one vehicle.
"Your Grace," she said, "I have only one question. Do you wish this man crippled or dead?"

"My Lady," the protector of Grayson told his Champion, "I do not wish him to leave this chamber alive."

"As you will it, your Grace."
