Adventure starting points

Unread post by auyl »

So was wondering what starting point for adventures do you use to get your players into the game?

With all the paranormal and supernatural research groups out there, do you use any of them as a springboard for setting up an adventure? Do you use the Lazlo Society? Or do you use a homemade group?

This is a pretty broad question as I've started adventures in lots of different places. That being said, I'm a fan of trying to get a them involved by something character related first, and if nothing comes up that can logically bring the game opportunity to the player, then I'll have someone contact one of them, such as said paranormal groups :)
