All of Dead Reign is good for it.

Every group has one problem player. If you cannot spot the one in your group; look in the mirror.
It is not a good session until at least one player looks you in the eye and says "you sick twisted evil ****"

If you did a game based on survival and trying to stay alive, then a BTS/DR game would be AWESOME!

Hi there,

I agree with Damian. Dead Reign is fully compatible. It grew on the idea of the BtS 1st ed. Victim OCC (Normal Person OCC in BtS-II).

Obviously, Dead Reign is ideal for the apocalyptic zombie typ scenarios. That in turn is not the staple of the "standard" or usual BtS adventure. Dead Reign can benefit, I imagine, if you want to spice it up from the supernatural creatures in BtS and the classes there (if you want to introduce them, although that would change the "victim OCC" type of game that Dead Reign is).

BtS conversely can benefit very much from using some/much of the Dead Reign. I think Dead Reign is a great game but it is also a treasure trove for BtS. This is what I use:
    1. Occupations (not OCCs but occupations like student, etc) that are not in the occupations list in BtS can be carried over from Dead Reign. Works like a charm.
    2. You can also use the zombies. Even only one makes an excellent supernatural enemy in a BtS setting. I used ONE as an encounter in a BtS-II 1930s detective adventure. It was wonderfully horrible. Watch the classic "White Zombie" movie as another off the beaten track (epidemic zombie swarms) inspiration.
    3. I have always found the equipment section of Dead Reign extremely helpful for BtS.

Kindest regards
Hendrik

Here is an example of how the two can be successfully combined.

By the way, Ashcroft is a real place, just not as it is described in the story.

All of it and more, Dead Reign was supposed to be a BtS setting originally. Track down the Rifters covering it for true origins of the zombie plague, the zombie reaction to magic/psionic use (basically run at it like firing off a flare that screams 'eat me'), and related demonic forces at work.
