Re: Nazca Line Maker Do I need to adjust powers?

The OP states it's a third level character, with one selection being permanency. OP said they're 3rd level and want permanency. These line drawings are not commonly taught to beginning line makers. Advanced adepts (6th level and higher) who have performed a valuable service for the city of Nazca or...

Re: Do T-Men, of any flavor, have supernatural strength?

Tell me you guys aren't relying on NPCs to determine characteristics of T-men... please...

Getting 7+ magic tattoos makes you the minor supernatural being with SN strength/endurance and MDC. There's no "if you're Atlantean" garbage. Any T-man with 7+ tattoos gets this.

Re: Nazca Line Maker Do I need to adjust powers?

If a 3rd level Line Maker only has the 12 Line drawings they learn from leveling, one of which being Permanency, and the animals above aren't available, I'd consider focusing on utility stuff and Protection Circle:Simple/Summon Entity instead of Animal/Monster drawings. There's some value in a smal...

... even the god Thoth himself (spell save of 17) - who is supposed to know more about magic than pretty much anyone in the Palladium Megaverse. For reference, Thoth is a 30th level Diabolist, 20th level Rune Master (the last?), 20th level Wizard, 15th level Summoner, and a 20th level Alchemist ......

No one said anything about fighting Gods, though, other than you. My post wasn't, "hey, if you have a higher spell strength than Thoth, it means you can beat Thoth!" Well, no... it doesn't. But it does mean your magic is more potent than Thoth's magic, which doesn't make any sense at all ...

Re: Looking for New Monsters

You could go with a summoner who likes to summon and force angels to do his dirty work. The party must fight them, but needs to at least try not to kill. That's actually quite difficult to pull off. Have you seen the M.E. (and save bonuses) of Spirits of Light? Not to mention the bonuses to break f...

Re: Spell Strength maximums

Why not? it's not too difficult to wind up with a PC who's stronger than Thor, or has higher combat bonuses than Ares. This, in and of itself, is a problem. No single PC should be more powerful than a god. Full stop. I've seen players exploit and abuse the system to have PS higher than Atlas.. you ...

Re: Spell Strength maximums

16 is the maximum without any bonuses that come from something over than leveling. Where are you getting this from? Source? This would likely allow them to reach Spell Strength 18. Several Gods have a spell strength of 18, so it A: proves that it is possible to break 16, at least for divine beings,...

Spell Strength maximums

Magic : 12-16 depending on the power level of the spell caster. 16 or higher to save vs ritual magic. Shifters with a link to the supernatural (Gods of Magic) get to enjoy additional spell strength bonuses; in theory - if there were no maximum - this would allow them to exceed the maximum shown sav...

It's also not just about birth and death rates, but the female reproductive system . Note that women in our modern world weren't able to join the workforce and really get out and do much until reproduction (and, to a lesser extent, the menstrual cycle) was more controlled. It had very little to do w...

I don't really pay attention to the addiction rules, since they are based on outdated concepts of addiction in the first place, IMO. I don't think they model 'real life' very well at all. I sort of agree and disagree at the same time: I like how they allow you to become an addict, and the consequen...

We also avoid of this hassle by prohibiting Miscreant, Anarchist, Diabolic PCs... and only rarely allowing Abberant. Don't forget that a character with a P.E. of 30 is also effectively immune to disease - a pretty important consideration in the world of PF, especially.

This is from the RUE rules, but it's a pretty reasonable extrapolation for PF as well, IMO.

They really aren't that powerful at all. In their respective sphere (especially if in their geographical area), and given time to prepare properly, they can be strong. But I wouldn't say overpowered... As flatline pointed out, the stuff from SA1&2 was probably a bit on the overpowered side when ...

Sure Its a parry, not a block. Parrying can be done automatically (without using a melee attack/action) by anyone trained in any form of hand to hand combat. A parry blocks the attacker's strike , preventing damage from being inflicted. (emphasis mine). A parry, according to the rules, is a block. ...
