But to add, having other governments pop up and cause drama is fun. And some third rate government selling knock off mecha to anyone with the cash makes for some good mecha stompy time.

Yeah, that was an oversight there with the Shadow device. For adapting it to the new canon, I'll place the adventer after 21st mars division gets wiped out and end around the same time as the battle of reflex point. Return of the masters 1998 edition
Just got the PDf of the book. The additional Earth mecha was always a fan favorite of mine, the Delta fighter and ZSB were always good additions, the logan and assault battloid weren't as nice, but then I never liked the logan. The new masters mecha were a joy, something less fragile than the origin...

I've been pleased with the update to the art. Looks less 80s and toy like for the new destroids. My only regret was that they didn't add a spacecraft in the book. I'm assuming if was one in the draft, it got cut for space. Already got ideas for pirates/privateers that use a mix of old marine gear pl...

I've also thought of using the old EBSIS battloids as homegrown knockoffs by a non-UEG nation. I may have the old sentinel destroids show up on colony worlds as either a homegrown unit or cast offs from the UEEF that they didn't want anymore.

Thoughts on updating 1ed mecha: what would you not update.
It's been batted around since TSC came out about what to do to mecha that were more or less homegrown or booted from canon to make them comparable to TSC standards. Today is not that. The question is which mecha would you not update beyond the basics to make it fit the updated system? My choice is t...

Since we are looking at a fall release, it means that other projects in the pipeline got the love first or approval from HG took a while or both. I normally don't mind if it results in what happened with the Macross 2 sourcebook where we got additional material.

Another twist that we could add, the EBSIS could have been a big supporter of the Pioneer mission/UEEF but still have the love/hate relationship with the UEG and ASC. And we could also add that they attempted a 'third way' sort of thing if you want to draw on the Cold War for historical references....

Re: Has any one thought to tackle a retcon of the EBSIS?
The idea that came to me on this was to have the EBSIS be a part of the UEG, but opposed to the neo-feudal structure of the government. Gear-wise, mostly UEDF with a smattering of early UEEF gear and a few pieces of ASC and some leftover Zent gear. I figure the best way to use them is as a focus for...

Following HGs train of thought, the UEEF could have been considered a defacto seperate branch post 2nd Robotech War. On the Pineapple cake, I have to quote something I saw on a blog earlier:

I have to agree with that, pineapple salad needs to be banned in all RT/Macross games.
It's just too dangerous to serve to PCs.

It's kinda hard to debate KC. But I do like the CK as of RUE, I've seen people object to the tech focus of the zen combat. It does boil down to a theme and setting issue.
