Anyone have any unique ideas they've used for this power and have some game mechanics worked out for them? My son has a character in Phase World with this power and he's been struggling with it (mostly I think due to lack of imagination). He mainly uses it to run super fast and hit people (Extraordi...

Re: Daily tech in the three galaxies
Interstellar data seems to be a bottleneck at the moment. Thraxus has set up a galactic stock exchange, but in Anvil Galaxy at least there seems to be a driving effort to improve interstellar communication which is hampered by the light barrier even with Contragravity technology. From reading that ...

Daily tech in the three galaxies
Just curious how others play the tech side of the three galaxies, as in the day to day stuff that regular people would use. Most of the tech still produced in Palladium books still seems mired in the 80's. So what are your communications like? LED screens, holographic projectors, or something else? ...

One of the strangest things I've always found in the Three Galaxies, is the fluff text always mentions refueling ships during long voyages, and how important fueling depots are, yet almost every ship has a fuel source that is good for decades to centuries.

A few options I use. Use descriptive combat. So instead of just saying I shoot or swing with my sword, describe the attack and the outcome. Re: A Model Adventure: Glitter Boy Miniature Project
The grey primer might be fine just on its own. Generally, you want some darkness in the recesses. That's why one of the main techniques for mini painting is to use ink washes. It settles in the recesses providing easy shading and depth to the model. Going for a mirror finish may change that though.

Re: A Model Adventure: Glitter Boy Miniature Project
After priming a base of thin white paint might help with the mirror paint. I've never used mirror paint, but I do paint minis a fair amount (just posted three on the Palladium Roleplayers Guild FB Page).
The white would give a good light base colour that should help with the mirror paint.

I guess hate was a little strong of a word, but the fact that classes are exclusive to SDC beings only seems a little strange as does areas that aren't really tech based that have no allowances for MDC beings to be there (Heartwood seems especially strange being home to such a variety of magic users).

Re: Damage: SDC vs HP (house rule idea)
Another way to balance Hit Points is to have all critical attacks go straight to HP. Double damage to SDC can be meaningless in a lot of cases, but full damage to HP when a character still has 60 SDC makes the game considerably more lethal, and puts a true edge to critical hits.
