The problem with LOS going to any point of the hull is that it makes it easy to snipe individual mecha within a squadron which can be extremely unfair to Zentradi players as all their Glaugs disappear from the center of a squadron even when surrounded on all sides by other mecha. Similar to your method with counters I have a set of large dice that I use to keep track of the total die modifier (GN +various bonus and minus to the roll) and then I have four different color dice to represent the weapon systems.

There is no reason to buy him as a Malcontent player, most likely a simple mistake not including his name on the list of characters they can't use. I think if he transferred his ability to another faction he would be like a 20 or 30 point character like the character that boosts his whole squads SPD...

For Grell imagine an attrition squad with two added Regult support squads and a Glaug. That's a 24 Regult squad and they can't all fit in a 8 inch bubble, so put Grell in a Regult and you space him so there are two 8 inch bubbles. Part 1 is simple, special characters added to a squadron do not count towards victory points. Victory points are awarded based on the force cards ( Core, support, special) of a squadron and built in upgrades, characters are not included in this calculation. I primed my first box in black out if habit, usually I paint minis in darker colors. My next box I'll probably prime white for Zentradi and light brown for UEDF

Thanks, Love to paint and do the hobby stuff. Since most of my painting has been the same colors for the next few tutorials I'm going to try to get closer pictures so you can see how the paints layer a bit better.

I would suspect that if it is indeed a third shot or second rapid fire shot then it would still fall under the rules of 1 CP for extra shots so 2CP to make three shots with the gun pod. That's a good point. Most other game systems have named characters that can be in an army once and generic characters that you build up to what you want. Until a FAQ is created I would suggest that your gaming group, or local store game organizer agree on house rules interpretations that are mutuall...

We played the battle for Macross City intro mission and found that gameplay worked well but the game was balanced heavily against the Zentradi. I tend to base in black when I'm blending and spending time. When I want faster paint jobs with less depth of color I base with a color that will remain visible on the body if the model and use washes to darken grooves

Exactly as Phaze's example. So as a UEDF player kill the Glaugs and win. Fir Zenyradi players always put Glaugs at the rear if a squadron to block LOS and keep them alive longer.

I think using magnets on the missiles would be very hard and require small fingers. I model my fighters with both missile options similar to the do you remember love toys
