It's organic enough that the mecha, along with its invid pilot, could mutate into a new sub species outright. This is shown in the Genesis Pits Sourcebook though I can't say if the book is canon to the series as a whole.

Let alone the repairs for Invid mecha. You'd have to go to an Invid brain or scientist for something that's bio-mechanical like that. It's a lot of hurt for the rogue Prince/Princess. I don't see the REF getting far in the repairs if they were to accept the aid of a rogue invid.

Is there a source for how many protoculture cannisters are used for the Commander and Overlord? I can't seem to find it in my copy of shadow cronicles. I'm hoping I'm just blind.

I believe the book you'd be looking for is Rifter 37 for alternative Mega-Being rules. PU2's Immortal category often provides the Mega-Immortal power as a bonus ability, so at most, 3 would be the limit.

If you note...there is a space between the 1d6 and the +1. If the text had been 1d6+1/L then it would of been answer #1, but since it is 1D6 +1/L it is answer #2. #2 is is in-line with the meaning typicly used for that format of math the book uses. See the "Level of Experience" examples o...

First, Bio Ghost and the Mega "Doesn't need to eat or drink for nourishment'.

If you wanna look in the Rifter 37 for the expanded Mega Hero options, there is a Mega Power called Power Specialization. It doubles the damage, range, and effects of 1 major or 3 minors.

This feels really balanced. might go with an extra 10-15 attribute points, and reduce starting power points to 3. May help the level up feel more dramatic. But what about instinctively knowing the abilities of the creature? Becoming an adult dragon gives a few advantages. Mutants are "living creatures".

Even the lesser Immortals are pretty beefy. Our group has kept it as the Mega-Being exp chart. Godlings put the CB 2 Godlings to shame. What's a Mega-Being with Multiple Beings/ Multiple Selves and Magic/Psionics? A near infinite cannon of Super-Natural artillery.

I would be interested in hearing more. The Vicereine in Robotech Genesis Pits have some decent abilities that could be useful. Though now that I think on it, there are some powers in the Powers Unlimited books that offer many equivalents to things like telekinesis. With level gains too. As for magic...

Where is that combat driving? in Rifts UE, Combat Driving is a skill that reduces combat penalties by half(which is funny for the power itself) and reduces penalties by one per level. I find the other uses great. I just find something that uses all but one of your actions in a combat round really lacking compared to just using the regular blast in the power. I appreciate the responses folks. Thank You.

In my opinion, I'd rule it as something dependent on the weapon and/or strength. If it's a MD weapon, solid or energy otherwise, the damage bonus is received. I do like the idea Rifter 21 has to offer for casting. but the pool of PPE is way limiting in my view, when mutants and hardware can just keep using their abilities with little effort. Not much to choose from for magic. It feels like to much utility and not enough boom to match hardware and superbeings. It hardly has the hype as well.
