I only got to play a little of it in store back the day so I never got to finish it. For me it felt closer to KotOR, but again that is very limited play time and I really don't play a lot of video games.

I haven’t played RT in ages, but I remember those long sessions with Macross era stories and custom mecha builds. My group always wanted to improvise with the tech, and as a GM, I let them get pretty creative when customizing their gear. It’s funny now thinking back, I was way more lenient with ...

The books say, several times, that any cruise missile volley fired in the 1 to 3 mile range can not be shot down, that was all I was getting at. This means that fighters have to get into that close range PDW area in order to be more effective than a ship launched missile volley.
Which is ...

Not sure, however it is humans and ogres, who can interbreed, true Atlanteans who are supposed to be human and originally could interbreed but now can't and elves who can't with any of these groups but they also suffer horribly from the tattoos making them more of a punishment than power.

No to:
Neanderthals. They are a separate species or sub species
I wouldn't allow earlier hominids (and uplifting them would be a definite no)

Some of the human variants mentioned in WB21 pg107 (also in BoM) could be considered sub-species so I would say no ...
