I might be harsh in saying that I think that Dark Conversions is a copy/paste hack job.... but it might just be because I'm in defense of Trustrum's idea. The Werewolf has plenty of abilities that allow it to be played cleverly. Making use of tactics and timing to overpower a more powerful opponent....

ummm... I like the werewolves... no they can't go head to head with a nightbane. But, they can summon the dogs of a city to be their eyes and ears. They can quickly find friends everywhere. In a world where the nighlords probably own the phone companies.... they can also run a gas truck into a bane ...

I thought Shadows works well for Nightbane. I like the bane better than the Anathos and they seem far too similar for my liking. But, I like them as an alternative for my players... who want something powerful but don't like the randomness.

I agree on buying the same stuff printed over and over again... it gets annoying. But, there really is more tribes than got printed in the Rifters. The OCCs of the Children are all really nice.

Where does it say that the heart would turn to mist and reform? Nations of Blood... (not canon but something I use as a GM) says you can remove a heart. And, the vampire wll fall down as staked but you have to make a successful death blow and a proclamation of intent.

I never did a lot of versus playtesting but I always figured the Anathos were something that the Nightbane would be on equal ground fighting. Any difference in power level is changed by the Nightbane's constant regeneration to the Anathos only regenerating while resting. Least.... that's how I figur...

Ugh... Nightbreed. I would love a Nightbane movie. That write up in the main book at the beginning of the vampire section when a vamp and a bane get into it and the homeless guy freaking out in the middle of it. That would be amazing on the big screen. Not to mention an endgame fight with a nightlord.

Nightbane would be my favorite rpg setting of all time. I know that if there is any book that I would buy from Palladium it would be another Nightbane book. I own all of them though... and I've bought quite a few of your other titles but Nightbane is the only one that I'm still interested in running...

See I thought you were going to suggest a hth exclusive to nightbane. Something to replace what they automatically get in morphus form. Something to show that they can do stuff normal people can't.

I love Trustrum's were creatures myself. I think they are interesting... if not as "powerful" as a nightbane they can do things that make them interesting to play. You would have to play smarter but you could definately succeed.

It's a good bet that not all Nightlords are on Ba'al's level. Probably cities with more than one Nightlord are probably too weak to thrive on their own against the other lords. Weak being a relative term of course since they could probably still dismantle a 'bane without blinking.
