Re: Modern Weapons List

I think the Compendium could use an update or, possibly more appropriate, a second volume. It might include new weapons or other firearms not listed in the Compendium.

Any other things you'd like to see in a Compendium Vol. 2?

I've used the terms: ghoul (obvious one) zed undead shambler biter moaner groaner crazed fatty (juggernaut) filth groper cockroach My favorite term, which members of the player group came up with, is "zit" - based on the way their heads pop when a well placed bullet, slug, or buckshot hits...

I was wondering if anyone on the boards has put together a list of modern/contemporary weapons, their penetration values, and damage for weapons that are not explicitly listed in the Compendium.

Re: Zombie AR

I am seriously considering that last suggestion of just dumping AR for zombies - at least for the head. It seems to be a poor solution to the problem of making zombies harder to kill. The reason this came up is because I had a player roll for a head shot and he hit, but was below the AR. It doesn't ...

I was recently asked by a player why armor piercing rounds do not lower the AR of zombies despite lowering the AR of armored targets by 2 (page 108 in DR). Here is my response... Loved it. While not 'scary' in the traditional horror flick sense of the word, I think it derives its power from the fact that it represents a possible scenario for a national response to a disease outbreak. It is a cogent analysis of a potential (likely?) military response that really makes a chill...

I just did a search for this answer, but couldn't find it. I believe that this will definitely influen...

The group forming for my new game includes:

Psi-Healer

Arcane Archaeologist
Ghost Hunter
Cursed Psychic

Seems like a fairly well rounded group. There are two undecided players still. If one of them were you, and you wanted to help round out the group, what PCC/OCC would you choose?

Obviously, the decision to incorporate magic and psionics in a Dead Reign game is at the GM's discretion. What I think is irrelevant to what some other GM wants to do with his/her game. That said, the way I interpret the Death Priest's power is that it is wholly derived from the priest's allegiance ...

I like the tension-cycle approach too. It has worked great for a Dead Reign game I've been running and I will most definitely incorporate it into my BTS2 game. The 'oldies' are important because they (in theory) have the most life experience. And if we're talking contemporary time, they've lived the hard life - perhaps during the Great Depression. Would you include Curse of the World Bizarre in your list? It says in the description that characters with an M.E. of 10 or higher will be know it's an illusion but will still be affected. Though the title of the spell would suggest it is a curse.
