I had a scenario where a RDF/UEEF Ship/fleet, got somehow marrooned in the three galaxies and they basicaly barter/steal/trick/push/blow their way to Center as only the Prometheans had the tech or mean to return home...

Maybe it has nothing to do with this but; Did Carl Macek just died a few weeks ago? If I remember a dialog I had with the staffs of DP9 (years ago) over Macross II (they those wonderfull deck plans), it seems that HE was the approuving authority, wasn't he?

In fact the real reason why they came up with that refit was to make the SDF-3 artisticaly more compatible with the ship of the Mospeada (New Generation) serie. Nothing more, nothing less.

The whole SDF-1 Journey from Pluto's orbit to Earth is quit a feat by itself! Think about it! The distance is huge nad they also manage to do two stop along the way (Mars and Saturn). To make it in less than 2 years.... Wow! it's... Darn impossible! The acceleration require must be close to 2 G cons...

O the whole topic, if tanks are such a perfect vector, why are we still trying tio developpe a walking system? Answer because we are stupid!!!
