Re: Rituals vs Invocations
No problem, like I said it was a good excuse to reread the magic information in BTS 1e and there is some good stuff in there that you can't find in other books. The effects of ley lines on mages and psychics and magic have been modified and simplified in the more recent games. But still a lot of go...

What other "semi-magical skills" could an Acolyte choose?
TtGD, p13 says "...an Acolyte may select semi-magical skills such as Divination (in place of any O.C.C. Related Skills) and any of the lores." Divination is exactly what it says on the tin, defined in TtGD. Ignore Principles for Magic, since that's a special case, and the Acolyte gets it a...

Re: Has anyone used a Night Prince, Hound Master, or Doppleganger Warlord as their big bad?
After some thought, I feel like a Night Prince, a Hound Master or two, and 1-4 Doppleganger Warlords would make an excellent set of ruling bad guys for a smaller city in Nightbane, an evil domain in PF, or an enemy cabal in BTS.

I decided one day to give Rifts a massive makeover ( :? ), I used the Systems Failure classes as the basic for the new Rifts setting I was righting. This drastically cut down the number of OCC's. Re: A gritty list of powers?
One place to start is looking at nature - if a power (or a close approximation of it) exists in the natural world, then the likelihood (in a superhero game, even a gritty one) that it can be gene-engineered into a human is highly likely. Most of HU's powers ARE gritty, street-level. Remove about 10...

Not sure about a true errata. However, Extraordinary PS is the only power that has a minimum level (unless your pre-power PS base is already over 20). One of the strengths of Palladium's magic system is that any spell can be a ritual or an invocation. I was introduced to this magic system through BTS1, so it really struck a chord with me.
