I don't think the MC OCCs are overpowered; differently powered, certainly. The PCCs work well for a BTS game for focused on the mysticism and not the horror aspects. Though they'd work in horror, too. The martial arts OCCs would work just fine in a splatterpunk or action horror game.

With a high PPE reserve (relatively speaking), druids are useful in group casting sessions.

They might be more inclined to use techno-wizard devices. Their PPE means they can power them more easily.

I think that he's not talking about a situation involving the bonuses for the specific attack move, but rather whether the specific move is even available.

Other explanation: Genetic Bottleneck due to the Elf-Dwarf War. The dwarves figured out the ward symbols for "blonde" and killed thousands of elves before they were stopped.

Anti-Pain Serum troops come with a 20 MDC body suit and a Tirolian assault rifle. They're *just* strong enough to not be strawberry jam to Unicorn Power ...

BTS has Astrology, which is just a specific Divination skill, and Meditation, which gives benefits beyond real life options.

N&SS/MC has Chinese Alchemy, Fasting, and Geomancy/Feng Shui.

I've often felt certain spells should only be available as rituals, not invocations: protection circles, summoning, transformation.

So any of those would probably be good examples for conversions.

Years ago, the need for materials bothered me as well. So I suggested that a lot of depleted natural resources were restored by Rift activity. That defunct uranium mine? Functional! That drained oil field? Refilled! Etc.

In general, the bonuses from Physical Skills stack with the bonuses from Martial Art Forms. But MAFs are pretty specific about what combat skills they grant. Take Pao Chih (Mystic China): it only grants Dodge and Roll with punch/fall/impact.

TtGD, p13 says "...an Acolyte may select semi-magical skills such as Divination (in place of any O.C.C. Related Skills) and any of the lores." Divination is exactly what it says on the tin, defined in TtGD. Ignore Principles for Magic, since that's a special case, and the Acolyte gets it already ...

After some thought, I feel like a Night Prince, a Hound Master or two, and 1-4 Doppleganger Warlords would make an excellent set of ruling bad guys for a smaller city in Nightbane, an evil domain in PF, or an enemy cabal in BTS.
