Re: Limits on WP paired weapons
If I remember right, I allowed characters to use more than two sets of arms with paired weapons, but I required them to take the WP skill for each additional set of arms. It wasn't something I ran into much.

Re: What do you think keeps people from getting into Palladi
depending on your relationship with the store owner, you may be able to get the store to refer anyone looking to sell specific books to you (the FLGS around here doesn't stock PB stuff, but they will order a copy of whatever you need if you ask). I asked them about that once. It's a great shop but ...

Re: What do you think keeps people from getting into Palladi
It's been a while since I've talked with any gamers about why they don't play Palladium, but the most frequent reason I heard was Palladium's reputation. None of them had actually tried it but they avoided it simply because of what they'd heard or read from others. They made a lot of the same argume...

None of my FLGS's had it in stock this week, and none of my normal online shops had it, either. One local shop should have it today, but I probably can't make it out there until Monday. I'm quite eager to get my hands on this one.

Re: "The Mechanoids" vs. 'The Mechanoid Invasion Trilogy"
I've managed to complete a good deal of my Mechanoids collection since starting this thread several months ago. The Mechanoid Invasion was the original comic-book sized book that came out in 1981. It was followed by The Mechanoid Invasion Book 2: The Journey and The Mechanoid Invasion Book 3: Homewo...

Steamworks exist, but in North America most engines run on petrol. Mechanical energy, however, has not been neglected; petrol is spendy, even though you may use it every day to raise of lower your drawbridge, so other energies are frequently harnessed. I'm sure I have a treatise on such matters els...

The times I've had campaigns that wound through the ATB world, I portrayed it as a recovering post-Apocalyptic world. In other words, there are still plenty of ruins to be found, but many of the larger cities and rural areas are in decent shape. There were always specific ruins and locations for the...

I ended up getting it for 7.99 or so on Ebay. It was listed as good shape, and detailed a few flaws. Surprisingly, like several other auctions lately, it was in much, much better shape than listed. Not a bad deal!

I've been reading Library of Bletherad this past week (first time I've read the whole thing), and I'm really fascinated by the material about the Heroic Realms. Second Edition has those. From what I've read, sounds as though the formatting in the first print is different, and the monsters don't list HF or P.P.E. I was hoping for a bit more of a difference. Might still get it anyway.

Aside from the cover, does anyone know if there's any difference between the first printing (KS green background cover) and later printings? I've always been a little "flexible" about what I consider a playable O.C.C./R.C.C., so keep that in mind. But I have a spreadsheet that serves a similar purpose. It doesn't have the short description, but my total numbers right now are 1,221 R.C.C.'s and 421 O.C.C.'s.

Rifts is a wonderful game to play, it's a headache for the GM though. Back when I was GM'ing, I never found it to be any more of a headache than anything else. Controlling the clock on a computer can be very powerful. Especially if the computer was not patched for Y2k, or if you could set it before 1980 (most computer clocks can't go before that year).
