I would take a Micronian Bioroid with Hover Sled (and an energy based Bioroid Blaster...) This to me, would be the best of both worlds. You have psuedo technology we could understand and repair. Along with the quasi-mystical/alien technology of the Robotech Masters. Now mind you, I am not a Southern...

Well if each side was in its heyday of power. Look at the Robotech Masters in SC, they were losing and on the decline. They needed protoculture, etc... You have a full force with enough Protoculture, I would state that the Robotech Masters could easily take out Splynn. Heck, if they weren't even car...

trying to adhere to realism is the death of any good game. Rules are rules because they add game balance, not because they are realistic. If the VFL rifle says it defeats laser resistant armor, it does. I dont care of its ceramic or not. Nit-picking things apart like that just makes the game worse,...

It is not a nice combo though, the luetenant in our game was hard pressed to acquire 4 additional LRM's for another players Beta from the quartermaster in an Invid Invasion earth se...

In Novastar's campaign we have been using the MAC II as our mobile base (the thing is soooo sloooooow!) But we had a three man crew. The destroid pilot, also known as the one arm gunner. While another player is the only character without a mech became the official gunner. And the commander/military ...

Wow, doubling up people in a Gladiator - I could see some serious disadvantages in this. If your pilot first level maxed out for # of attacks could possibly start out with 6-8 attacks per melee (2 for HTH + 1 Boxing +3 Mecha Combat + 2 for living (if you use it), then you have a co-pilot with the sa...

I was thinking about this last night. But you probably could put 6 VWC pods on the Adventurer II along with its internal bomb bay. And maybe 2 or 4 VWC's on the Falcon Fighter.

I think I found the solution to my Radar dilema. Alpha's and Beta's have a Targeting Computer - with a 100 mile range. So in theory it can target items at beyond the 10 mile radar range. Either this is a mis-print, Radar is a mis-print or this is the secondary longer range version of a Radar I was t...

Even If you consider the SC electronics more advanced :erm: Wouldn't there be a reduction on the Destroids of the REF?

I am sorry, but I don't buy it. Maybe this is the combat radar (which I can believe) that can track X amounts of targets. But they should also have a second longer range radar.

A "Wolfe" auto-pistol doesn't do MD; it's the 5 shot "Weasel" that does so. (Though admittingly, why one 9mm pistol can't use the same MD ammo of another 9mm pistol is beyond me. Re: Grand Cannons

Umm, the Prime Minister of the United Earth Government would be the decider of those things, not the Supreme Commander of the United Earth Forces. Also, the RDF and the ASC are the SAME ORGANIZATION. The Pioneer Mission/REF is simply an extra-solar task force of the UEF. I always assumed that the R...

The Grand Cannon was the weapon used in Macross against the Zentraedi Armada. Lisa Hayes was stationed there during the big war, and Rick Hunter rescued her. The weapon used the Earth as power and it shot a beam swath that destroyed a huge chunk of the Zentraedi Fleet. Basically think of it as the S...

How many Grand Cannons are there? I know there was one in Alaska - it was destroyed. There was one in Brazil, but it was never completed The RDF Manual mentions one going to be placed in Australia - was it ever started? Side note, would Leonard allow the projects to continue when the RDF/REF left?

I never thought it would be hell having a Mac II in a game. But to be honest, it is the hardest thing to have. It moves so darn slow, and you are always trying to protect it. IIRC the T-99 is built as a Battloid version of the old VF Fighter (or was it another EBSIS Mecha?). Now not to get my evil minded GM extra thoughts - Wouldn't the Armored VF modules be able to attach to it? And if you think there is no difference between the Super VF and a Standard VF except for th...
