We are mostly settled in at the new office and warehouse facility and work is underway on numerous projects. You are going to start see a lot of new product coming your way as Palladium kicks production into high-gear. Everything from T-shirts, prints and novelty items to role-playing games and sourcebooks.
- Writing and art is being done for Deluxe Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® RPG, and the initial research, plans, and writing for the Macross Saga and The Robotech Masters Saga sourcebooks have begun.
- Final work on the next two Minion War™ books – Dyval™ and Dimensional Outbreak™ – is wrapping up.
- The Rifter® #43, swimsuit issue, is in production, and so is the Rifts® anthology book, a collection of short stories by Kevin Siembieda and Palladium’s most popular freelancers.
- Jeffry Scott Hansen and Carmen Bellaire are working on Warpath: Urban Jungle™.
- The manuscript is in and artwork is being finished for Palladium’s new zombie RPG, Dead Reign™.
And that’s just for starters. A great many other products are being developed, and the excitement is high at the new Palladium offices. And those are just some of the immediate products we’re working on.
Our goal: To wow you with many of the role-playing games and sourcebooks you’ve been waiting for. (No, we haven’t forgotten about The Palladium Fanatasy RPG®, Heroes Unlimited™, Nightbane® or Beyond the Supernatural™ either. More on them in a future press release.)
Erick’s health continues to deteriorate, but he retains his sense of normalcy, joy and appreciation of life, food and the people around him. Our love and prayers are with him and his family.
Black on grey T-shirt, this shirt could be a real world undergarment of a CS soldier. And now it can be yours!
Yellow/gold triangle with the word Triax in red on a black T-shirt. The first in a series of shirts that will offer company logos. (Naruni Enterprises, Northern Gun, Wilk’s, and others will be coming.)
Over the next 8-10 weeks, the following titles will be back (listed in no particular order):
Powers Unlimited™ One
Aliens Unlimited™
Rifts® Lone Star™
Rifts® Naruni™ Wave 2
Rifts® Megaverse® Builder™
Rifts® Three Galaxies™
Rifts® Japan
Rifts® Mercenaries™
and possibly others.
Rifts® China One and The Rifter® #21 – available now. Both are currently back in print as limited run “print on demand” books available directly from Palladium Books online and via mail order.
Kevin Siembieda is busy putting the finishing touches on Carl Gleba’s second dimension of Hell, Dyval™. A place as dangerous Hades and a whole lot stranger. It is the second book in the Minion War™ series, and is every bit as fantastic as Hades. The Deevil Host, evil monsters and minions, Deevil society, monstrous War Steeds, magic, adventure settings and more will make this another welcomed edition to the Palladium Megaverse®. Suitable for use with The Palladium Fantasy RPG®, HU2, Nightbane®, BTS-2, Phase World® and Rifts®.
This 6x9 inch trade paperback will offer a collection of short stories done special for this book. Stories are by Kevin Siembieda and a host of known Palladium writers.
Each story shows what it’s like to live in the shadowy no-man’s land of the Chi-Town ‘Burbs. A collection of hopeful people waiting for admission into one of the fortified city havens of the Coalition States, and the people who prey upon them. The Chi-Town ‘Burbs are the most famous of these tent cities that officially don’t exist, and therefore have no formal government or laws. Refugees, D-Bees, fugitives, and outlaws of every stripe make their home in the ‘Burbs or visit to sell their wares or get a little R&R.
Jason Marker is just about done with his part of the editing and tweaking of Dimensional Outbreak and artwork is being assigned. Barring any unexpected delays, this book should ship in July.
The Minion War™ spills into Phase World®, the city of Center and the Three Galaxies™. The epic scale of the Minion War just got bigger and even the Worlds of Warlock, the Splugorth and Naruni are involved.
Yes, we know that sounds like a strange combination, but we think Erick will approve. We’re going to do femme fatales like last year. Each full page pin-up of a sexy but dangerous lady statted out by one of Palladium’s writers for a different setting from Rifts® to After the Bomb®.
How will it be a tribute to Erick? The emphasis will be on characters, settings and RPGs created or co-created by Erick Wujcik. That means spies, ninjas, assassins, martial artists, the Orient, Wolfen, mutant animals, dragons, gods, and Mechanoids, among others! All a fun tribute to role-playing games and Erick’s creative genius and contributions to the Palladium Megaverse®.
The call to artists has already gone out and, to our surprise, artwork is already coming in for this special tribute and third annual Swimsuit issue.
The first swimsuit issue of The Rifter® is a SOLD OUT collector’s item, and the second Swimsuit issue is selling out fast. This third one will be even more special to us all.
The Rifter® is your doorway to unlimited imagination and numerous Palladium role-playing worlds. It offers new heroes, powers, weapons, magic and adventure for your games. It presents new villains, monsters and dangers to battle, and new ideas to consider.
Meanwhile, the mastermind behind the dynamic Minion War™ series, Carl Gleba, is busy wrapping up Rifts® Megaverse in Flames™, the final book in the Minion War™ series. Heroes of the Megaverse® and Armageddon Unlimited™ will, of course, precede its release. Not yet scheduled.
Josh Hilden and Joshua Sanford’s zombie apocalypse RPG, Dead Reign™, is also in the early phase of production. Nick Bradshaw has already created 20+ illustrations for the book, and Palladium newcomer, Amy L. Ashbaugh, has at least a half dozen illustrations finished. Both artists will be two of the stars of this delightfully fun and gruesome return of the dead. Was tentatively scheduled for a Summer release, but now we’re thinking October, Halloween release.
In response to exceptionally strong sales of the Robotech®: The Shadow Chronicles® RPG, Palladium Books is pleased to announce the upcoming release of three new role-playing game books that will expand the Robotech universe even further. Featuring more of the fantastic artwork and gaming that made the original a big success, these new books are tentatively scheduled for release in the Summer just in time for Gen Con®, one of the largest gaming conventions in North America.
This book contains the mecha, vehicles, weapons and characters that made Robotech famous. This also comprises the spectacular origin of Robotech that fans are widely speculating the live action movie will be based on. Packed with giant mecha, weapons, heroes, villains and fun, this sourcebook features quality artwork by the dynamic Manning brothers and the same bold approach to the writing as presented in the Shadow Chronicles® RPG.
This overlooked chapter of Robotech history will finally receive the royal treatment: in-depth coverage and updated information with fresh new artwork, including never-before-published mecha designs. Veteran RPG contributor Jason Marker has already begun research and development for this sourcebook.
A deluxe, expanded, 8½ x 11 inch, hardcover edition of the hit Robotech®: The Shadow Chronicles® RPG is in development and is tentatively scheduled for release in August, just before Gen Con.
Note: Jason Marker is putting together the errata for the original manga-sized book that will be posted online and appear in an issue of The Rifter®. We are doing the larger format and Deluxe Hardcover Edition for the many fans who prefer core rule books to be hardcover and the traditional 8½ x 11 inch format. You asked and we deliver. However, Palladium is not abandoning the manga-size and future sourcebooks will be at the 5½ x 7 inch manga, portable size.

We’ll be offering new collectibles, artwork and such in 2-3 auctions coming up in May and June. As usual, they will include some out of print books, original artwork, collectibles from the Erick Wujcik collection and other fun odds and ends.
While some items remain packed away in boxes, other items have been “unearthed,” including some Palladium Books dice bags, posters signed by renowned author, Roger Zelazny, and some other cool stuff.
We think the first auction will start May 17, 2008.
For a bit more detail and a bit of a more personal look at what’s all going on at Palladium Books, read Kevin Siembieda’s Murmur entitled “Everything going on at Palladium Books.” It talks about more projects and things going on than this more formal press release. The Murmurs from the Megaverse® are the musings, thoughts, opinions and news bits directly from Kevin Siembieda, publisher, writer, artist and owner of Palladium Books, presented in a sort of blog fashion.
