The BIG news is Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® RPG shipped to distributors Thursday, March 20, and should be hitting store shelves around April third. We had so many mail orders (several hundred) that it took us two days to ship them all. A hundred or so went out Thursday, with the rest, a few hundred more, shipping out Friday. Seven of us, including the Palladium crew, intern, Margaret Hailey, and pal, Josh Hilden, in town to help with the prep for Palladium’s big move, boxed and packed books till 8:30 Thursday night so we could get everyone’s books out to them as quickly as possible.
Those of you who ordered books via UPS and Priority Mail will get them next week. Those of you who ordered via Media Mail will need to remain patient. Media Mail is extremely unreliable and may take a few days to arrive for some and as long as three weeks for others. Hopefully, most of you will get it in only a week or two.
So what’s the initial reaction? Folks are loving it. Comments have included things such as. “Wow, it looks fantastic.” “I didn’t think I’d like the small size, but I do. It’s comfortable.” “I love the cover and interior art.” “I can’t believe how much new material is present, but you keep the Robotech® feel I remember.” “When are sourcebooks coming out? I want more!”
Those are exactly the reactions we were all hoping for, and we think most of you will agree. Please let us know what you think.
The Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® Role-Playing Game picks up where the DVD movie begins. The return of the United Earth Expeditionary Force (UEEF), the separation of the SDF-3 from the rest of the fleet, the battle of Reflex Point, space combat, treachery and everything else that is part of Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles®.
Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® is a NEW role-playing game, not a rehashed, retooled printing of the original RPG from the 1980s. Furthermore, the release of the Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® DVD Movie, the release of the Deluxe DVD, Shadow Chronicles® Art Book, and the announcement of a Robotech® Movie in development at Warner Bros. Pictures has ramped up interest and excitement for Robotech®.
Erick’s health has taken a turn for the worse. We encourage people to send Erick their thoughts and words of appreciation for his work and the man, while he’s still strong enough to read and enjoy them.

Everything is in place or in motion (at least we hope EVERYTHING is).
Palladium Madmen are coming in from across the country! We know of approximately 30 fans who have pledged to help Palladium Books move, which is exactly the number we were hoping for. And we suspect others may just show up. We welcome the help greatly, and want to thank Eric, Josh, Todd, Barry, Phil, Shawn, Chad, Steve, Pete, Margaret, and Joshua, who have already put in 1-3 days helping with prep work.
We will be spending the ENTIRE week of March 24-28 tearing down, packing, boxing, loading skids, and transporting shelving and other items early. Then, Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30, Carmen Bellaire will lead the way transporting an estimated 160 skids of books and materials to the new location, load after load, in a semi-truck and trailer until we are done.
We’ll need our volunteers to assist in the process of tearing down, lugging office furniture and boxes of books to the various offices and locations (the library has approximately 80 boxes of books, so does Kevin Siembieda’s personal office!), and helping us get everything back up and in place. It will be something.
The heaviest part of the move will take place March 28, 29 and 30 (the last Friday, Saturday and Sunday of March), but we have plenty of tearing down and prep work yet to finish all week long. So those of you in the area who want to help, please contact us as soon as possible to let us know the days and hours you can come and help.
