We shipped out approximately 135 post-Christmas Surprise Packages this week with 37 left to pick, pack and ship next week. Sorry, we just couldn’t get to them all this week.
All of us at Palladium Books would like to thank everyone who purchased a 2007 Christmas Surprise Package. We hope each and every one of you enjoyed what you received. Our goal is to put a smile on the faces of our fans and inspire hours of fun reading and gaming. Till next year.
The Rifter® #41 shipped to subscribers and distributors today, so they should start hitting store shelves by the end of next week. The Rifter® is your doorway to unlimited imagination and numerous Palladium role-playing worlds. It offers new heroes, powers, weapons, magic and adventure for your games. It presents new villains, monsters and danger to battle, and new ideas to consider. It helps you unlock your imagination by showing you what other gamers, just like you, have created. That’s right, many of the articles and source material are written by ordinary gamers and fans like you.
January 11 through March 31, 2008 is Palladium’s annual subscription drive. This is the window of opportunity in which we offer the best deal for you to get The Rifter®.
This year is the best offer ever. We hope to attract the largest subscription base ever – 1000 subscribers, so we’re offering the best range of FREE gifts ever. $22-$31 dollars worth. So tell your friends, neighbors and even enemies!
In the USA this special subscription offer includes free shipping, discount on the cover price, a FREE gift worth $22 to $31, and, of course, the convenience of delivery right to your mailbox.
Elsewhere in the world. Regrettably, the high cost of postage/shipping to Canada and other countries outside the USA makes the subscription more expensive for fans around the world. We apologize for that, but we are only passing along our actual shipping cost. We hope you understand.
The Rifter® only seems to keep getting better and better, is becoming an increasingly coveted collector’s item (with many issues out of print) and always fun.
This year we hope to shatter previous subscription numbers. As fewer and fewer retailers carry a large range of role-playing game products, we have seen The Rifter® subscriptions increase throughout 2007. This year, we are hoping to get our subscription base up to a record shattering 1000 subscribers! (612 is our old record). Which is why we’re offering the biggest selection for your free gift ever.
Let’s try this again. Kevin Siembieda was supposed to be Matthew Daye’s first guest of the New Year, but a pesky bug landed Kevin sick in bed. He’s feeling much better and hopes to have his voice and health back 100% by the next podcast.
So tune in next Monday, January 14, 6:00 PM EST to listen to Kevin Siembieda talk about the future of Palladium Book and a whole lot more. Remember, this is a “live” podcast and you can ask questions via telephone or e-mail. Always fun and entertaining and always available for download afterward.
A reminder, Chris Perrin has just launched our new podcast program, Echoes from the Rifts®. This wonderful show and website is the creation and hard work of Chris Perrin, who has kindly volunteered his service to bring you fun 30 minute interviews, discussions, news and downloads for your listening pleasure. Each program is pre-recorded, clear, crisp and available to be listened to online via computer or via download onto other digital platforms.
Erick Wujcik is the personality in the first two, awesome and entertaining interviews. These two programs were recorded only a few weeks before Erick learned he had cancer. They are fun, entertaining and a rare glimpse into the wonderful personality and mind of this legendary Palladium author and game designer.
In the first interview, Erick talks about his early days with Kevin Siembieda, Palladium Books and the Detroit Gaming Center.
In the second interview (made available this week), Erick talks about game design, Amber, videogame design and his years in China.
Future shows include interviews with Kevin Siembieda, Jason Richards and other Palladium creators and staff.
Though it is difficult to tell just how profound of an impact successful chemotherapy may have on Erick Wujcik, it has certainly been positive so far. Pain and discomfort have been reduced substantially and, with any luck, the treatment could extend Erick’s prognosis by months. Great news, as all of us at Palladium Books Inc., and fans around the world, keep Erick in their prayers and wish him the very best.
You can send Erick your warm wishes and tell him how much you enjoy his books and games by posting at www.erickwujcik.com.

Dyval™ is another dimension of Hell, the next book in the Minion War™ series, and is every bit as fantastic as the first, Hades.
Dyval is a hellish dimension very different from Hades, but just as exotic, dangerous and horrible. The Deevil Host, evil monsters and minions, Deevil society, monstrous War Steeds, magic, adventure settings and more. Interest among Palladium fans is high.
Robotech® is the number one asked about RPG product coming from Palladium Books. It is also on track to break the previous record for advance orders previously held by Rifts® Ultimate Edition.
The role-playing game will pick up where the DVD movie begins. The return of the Robotech Expeditionary Force, the separation of the SDF-3 from the rest of the fleet, and everything else that is part of Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles®.
Palladium has not seen so much anticipation for a new role-playing game release since the debut of Rifts® in 1990.
Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® is a NEW role-playing game. It is not a rehashed, retooled printing of the original RPG from the 1980s. Furthermore, the release of the Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® DVD Movie earlier this year, the release of the Deluxe DVD, Shadow Chronicles® Art Book, and the announcement of a Robotech® Movie in development at Warner Bros. Pictures has ramped up interest and excitement for Robotech. This new RPG should appeal to role-players of all generations.
The Minion War spills into Phase World®, the city of Center and the Three Galaxies™. The epic scale of the Minion War just got bigger and even the Worlds of Warlock, the Splugorth and Naruni are involved.
War factions from the Hells, Hades and Dyval, have discovered the existence of a great mystic artifact that has been hidden and protected by the Cosmo-Knights of the Three Galaxies. And both sides want it.
The artifact is an ancient Rune Book that contains the names of the 2000 greatest heroes the Megaverse® has ever known. But it is more than a historical document, it is a magic item of unparalleled power.
According to legend, the tome has many great powers. One such power is that reading the name of any one person inscribed, while evoking the proper magic, will give the reader the knowledge and power of that great hero. And many are the powers of the 2000.
The artifact also has its dangers. It is said if the List of Heroes™ is wrested from the Cosmo-Knights and kept locked in the pits of Hell, then the Knights and all heroes of the Three Galaxies will lose hope and flounder. If the book is destroyed, it is said, the Cosmo-Knights will cease to exist within a generation and the forces of Chaos shall reign. Needless to say, the Lords of Hell, the Splugorth and many others who serve Chaos would do anything to get their hands on the List of Heroes.
Rumor also suggests that the artifact may hold clues to the location of the Cosmic Forge, perhaps in some sort of code or the memories of the heroes who can be evoked. And there are many other tales of cosmic power, healing and knowledge all associated with the book and the ghosts of the heroes named on its pages.
As circumstance would have it, the List of Heroes has fallen into the possession of the Player Characters. The question is, can they keep it safe from the forces of two Hells until it can be returned to the safekeeping of the Cosmo-Knights? Or will they misuse it for their own, personal gain? How will this scenario unfold? Who is on that list? Buy a copy, play out the scenario and find out.
