That’s right, the latest Palladium Collectibles Auction (which ends tomorrow, Saturday, November 17) is offering two Palladium Staff Jackets owned by Kevin Siembieda. Kevin is 5 ft, 10 inches and about 200 lbs and the jackets fit him comfortably so anyone of comparable size should have no problems. The red jacket was a spare, never worn, and the other was only worn a few times (Kev prefers his 16 year old Rifts jacket to the newer, black jacket). So yep, you can own the clothes off Kevin’s back.
Palladium Collectibles Auction
The auctions have helped raise operating capital while Palladium is in-between new product releases, and clear out the storage rooms in preparation for Palladium’s move to newer, smaller offices and warehouse in the Spring.
There are still good deals to be had on a large number of cool collectibles, one-of-a-kind items, rarities, books and artwork, but the auction ENDS tomorrow, Saturday, November 17, 2007. Only two auctions left after this!
- The Rifts® Licensing Bible – this is exactly what we sent Jerry Bruckheimer, Nokia, and a number of other prospective licensees. Only something like 16 were created. This is probably the last time the Rifts® Bible will be offered.

- A couple of proofreader copies of books and more.
- Shadows of Light™, Nightbane® Sourcebook Four, a Nightspawn poster, and two “test sheet” cover variations. All signed.
- Trans-Dimensional Ninja Turtles® sourcebook (ulta-rare; found two copies tucked away in a box with convention stuff, go figure).

- A proof sheet for the Valley of the Pharaohs™ box cover (1984).
- “Last” complete set of Robotech uncut covers from the original RPGs.

It always worries Kevin Siembieda when we are so late on books, and this year, late on big releases that fans are dying for, namely, Dyval™, Dimensional Outbreak™, Heroes of the Megaverse® sourcebook and perhaps the hottest anticipated release of them all, Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles® RPG.
We apologize for the delays, but promise these books, and others, will be coming soon.
As you know, Palladium is still recovering from the damage done to us by the Crisis of Treachery. We’re doing very well on that front, but we remain shorthanded, buried in work and tired out. Please know we are working hard to get the above books to press and to make them the best they can be. These delays hurt Palladium’s cash flow, so they are even more important to us than they are for those of you anxiously awaiting your favorite titles. Even under crumbling deadlines, Kevin and crew simply refuse to bang out garbage. They continue to strive to produce the high quality books you have come to expect from Palladium Books. And you will not be disappointed.
Dyval™ is almost finished and it is spectacular. Every bit as good as Hades. Dimensional Outbreak™ will follow after the release of the first new Robotech RPG book, and Outbreak is another amazing book by Carl Gleba. Meanwhile, we have gotten a handful of books back into print.
Robotech® the Shadow Chronicles® RPG is coming along well too. Most of the artwork is nearly completed, and the Palladium crew have been doing research, making notes and doing bits of writing.
Meanwhile, Kevin and crew have been working on other projects and ideas for later this year and next. That includes leaning on artists and writers to finish various projects.
Upcoming projects include getting therifter.com in place, offering The Rifter® Zero as our first downloadable product, tweaking our website a bit, some new prints, posters and T-shirts, publishing the aforementioned books, releasing a Rifts® Chaos Earth novel, a Rifts® anthology book set in the Chi-Town ‘Burbs (with stories by Kevin Siembieda and Palladium’s top new talent), the Dead Reign “zombie” RPG, 3-5 additional Robotech® sourcebooks, the Warpath™: Urban Jungle RPG, at least one Nightbane® sourcebook, at least three Palladium Fantasy sourcebooks, 2-3 Heroes Unlimited™ sourcebooks, the rest of the Minion War™ series, and 5-6 new Rifts® sourcebooks (including Triax™ 2, Rifts® Lemuria, and a couple of Phase World® books), among others. Many of these titles are finished in manuscript form or in the final phases of their initial writing. And that’s not all.
We have big plans for Palladium’s future and we think you are going to love the books and products coming out. We ask that you remain patient. Great things are coming. Keep the faith.
Monday’s Gateway to the Megaverse® podcast is with Kevin Siembieda. He’ll be talking more about the craft of writing, production and publishing. Those of you with dreams of starting your own game company will want to listen and ask questions, but even those of you with no such aspirations are sure to enjoy a glimpse at what goes on behind the scenes. The live discussion should be lively, full of ideas, stories, fun and open to questions. Yes, Kevin should probably be using that hour and a half writing, but he promised to be on the show and enjoys doing them very much.
And remember, all podcasts are downloadable so you can listen to them anytime.
Christmas Grab Bags continue to ship every couple of days to put smiles on the faces of fans around the world. This week we had a lot of orders from all the Southern United States. On Monday we thought it was just one of those strange batches where the majority of orders seem to come from one particular part of the world, but the trend continued throughout the week. Orders came in from Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Louisiana, Florida, Arkansas, Kansas, and Arizona (we have a lot of fans in Arizona, Texas, and Kansas), as well as a few elsewhere, including a couple more from Great Britain and a few from Canada. Keep ‘em coming.
One of the most popular and requested Rifts® World Books, Juicer Uprising is back in print. It remains the definitive guide to Juicers and has been updated to be 100% compatible with RUE.
An overview of China and the Hell of the Yama Kings brought to Rifts Earth, tons of Chinese demons, ghosts and spirits, adventure ideas and fun.
The secrets of the Cyber-Knights revealed: Summon Psi-Sword, Psionic Powers, Cyber-Armor, Cyber-Knight Zen Combat, Dream Visions, Squires and Mentoring, their Code of Chivalry, variant Knights, and more. Also learn about the fractured fellowship – the schism within the knighthood caused by the Coalition’s Siege on Tolkeen, as well as Fallen Knights. More detailed information, background and equipment than what is touched upon in Rifts® Ultimate Edition.
Naruni Enterprises is a famous, trans-dimensional weapons dealer from the Three Galaxies. Despite their weapons, armor and vehicles being blacklisted by the CS, and Naruni Arms Dealers being the target of CS bounties and assassins, Naruni Enterprises has returned to Rifts Earth.
This time it’s personal, as the Naruni are looking to stick it to the Coalition States, Northern Gun and others who helped the CS oust them from the planet before the Siege on Tolkeen. And they’re doing it by selling weapons and armor to all of the Coalition’s enemies.
Dyval™ is another dimension of Hell, the next book in the Minion War™ series, and is every bit as fantastic as Hades. Deevils as you have never imagined them before. A hellish dimension different from Hades, but just as horrible. The Deevil Host, evil monsters and minions, Deevil society, monstrous War Steeds, magic and more. Much, much more. Should go to the printer soon. Maybe we’ll toss out a teaser online in the next week or two.
The artwork is assigned and being created, the cover is being tweaked, the research and note making continues, and bits of first draft writing are finished. Can we get this new RPG out before Christmas? We’ll try. If not, it will be soon after.
The role-playing game will pick up where the DVD movie begins. The return of the Robotech Expeditionary Force, the separation of the SDF-3 from the rest of the fleet, and everything else that is part of Robotech® The Shadow Chronicles®.
The softcover edition of Rifts® and the Megaverse® is just as gorgeous as the two hardcover editions, and a steal at only $22.95 for the quality and amount of material. Bring back memories of your favorite games, get ideas from page after page of artwork, including concept art and designs, and enjoy the commentaries.
The fifty dollar hardcover edition is limited to 300 copies signed by John Zeleznik and Kevin Siembieda. It is the same quality as the Masterwork edition, but does NOT include original artwork and is not numbered.
Each of the 199 copies of the “Masterwork” edition comes with a one-of-a-kind, original concept drawing (pencil sketch, inked rough, etc.) that was originally created by renowned artist, John Zeleznik, specifically for one of the paintings or illustrations that appears in the book! To our knowledge, NO publisher has ever offered any of the original sketches and drawings used to create the artwork depicted in the art book. This unprecedented collector’s item makes a great gift for that, “I own everything Palladium,” collector, as well as serious fans of Palladium Books or John Zeleznik.
