Okay, it's official.
Kathy Simmons, Palladium’s order processing person, customer liaison and bookkeeper (not to mention my very own sweetheart) is INSANE.
Yes, that is a strong statement to make about anybody, but it’s true of Kathy, I’m afraid, at least when it comes to Halloween.
Wait. Wait! I have proof. Take a look at the front yard of our home. It's filled with more than FORTY (40+) Halloween figures created by Kathy. She calls them her “ghouls” and calls herself the Queen of Ghouls!
Okay, I maybe it was me who nicknamed Kathy the “Queen of Ghouls,” but she likes it. And maybe I created 3-4 of the ghouls myself, with the Bug Man being my crowning achievement. Um, so I have helped Kathy make some of the other ghouls too, and offered plenty of ideas, and bought half the masks, hands, costumes and clothing in day-after-Halloween liquidation sales, and helped create and build the graveyard and raked the mulch to look like freshly dug mounds for the graves.
BUT KATHY IS THE CRAZY ONE I TELL YOU. It’s Kathy.
Kathy’s the one who conceived and created a pirate ship and undead crew.
It was Kathy’s idea to create a dungeon on the side of the house.
It was Kathy who created the undead bride and groom . . . and added the axe wielding spurned lover, Lady in Black.
Sure it was my idea for idea to create a jungle scene with gorillas (more to be added) and strange undead natives with shrunken heads, but SHE MADE IT A REALITY! And it looks awesome too.
What can I say, we both love Halloween. And . . . um, I guess we’re both a little crazy when it comes to Halloween fun. I hope you enjoy the pictures Wayne selected.
Sincerely,
Kevin Siembieda, Kathy Simmons & the Palladium Books Crew
