How to Place your Order

* Cost: $58 US Dollars + shipping to get $95-$105+ worth of Palladium goodies. An absolute minimum of ninety-five dollars ($95) retail in Palladium product, almost always more, especially if you give us a long Wish List. Kevin likes to make gamers smile and blow people’s minds.

* Placing Orders Online is probably the fastest and easiest way to order. Ordering online allows you to select the desired method of shipping. We recommend UPS because it is fast, reliable, and has reliable tracking capabilities. Multiple orders will result in duplication.

REMINDER, this is a “Surprise” Package. While Kevin Siembieda and the Palladium staff personally TRY to make each and every Surprise Package special, we cannot guarantee satisfaction. It is a “Grab Bag.” Buyers may not always be satisfied (although we seem to succeed with most). Purchasing multiple Surprise Packages will likely result in multiple duplicate items. Slight Damage: Some books used in the Surprise Packages may show slight damage such as a bent corner, scuffs, nicks, dings, dents, dirt smudge, crushed corner, etc., so we can send you MORE product. Of course, we cannot control damage that may occur in the mail/shipping (Media Mail being the worst in that regard), but we ship everything in a well packed cardboard box or tube. Please let us know if you don’t mind damaged books and we may be able to add even more items to your Grab Bag!

Select the Method of Shipping

Media Mail is least expensive (around $10 per Surprise Package), but it is a less reliable and slower, low priority, classification of the USA mail. In 2020 Media Mail packages took 6-12 weeks to be delivered. In 2021 Media Mail was back to the usual 8-18 days during the holiday season. We do not know what 2022 deliveries will be like, but we fear it may be something in between. When shipping via Media Mail we recommend placing holiday gift orders as early as possible to guarantee getting it in time for Christmas. WARNING: Use Media Mail at your own risk. If lost or damaged in transit, Palladium will NOT replace the contents if shipped by Media Mail.

UPS Ground is reliable, insured, and fast. Last year UPS was astonishing, but it is more expensive than Media Mail. UPS Ground packages arrive to ALL states, except Alaska and Hawaii, in 3-5 business days; 2-3 days to locations east of the Mississippi River. UPS cannot ship to a P.O. Box, so please provide a street address.

WARNING 1: Palladium is NOT responsible for loss if you give us an incorrect or incomplete address, or if you MOVE before the Christmas Surprise Package/Grab Bag arrives. The loss is yours. DO NOT FORGET to include your APARTMENT NUMBER! Note: Rare books and one-of-a-kind items like prints and gold editions CANNOT be replaced if lost or damaged in the mail.

WARNING 2: Palladium is NOT responsible for loss or damage when you select Media Mail as your shipping method. We recommend UPS (especially in the USA) or another method of shipping via the United States Postal Service (USPS) like Priority Mail rather than Media Mail, especially if fast delivery time is important. The risk and the loss is 100% YOURS when you ship via Media Mail, and lost packages or damaged items sent via Media Mail WILL NOT be replaced.

Live outside the USA? This is a great way to get books at a good price. The X-Mas Surprise Package is a way to circumvent the high shipping costs from the USA, since you are getting $100+ worth of product and only paying $58 for the books. Shipping via Priority Mail International (required for packages weighing more than four pounds) to most locations in Canada, Europe, and many other countries should be around $70-$80 US dollars. HOWEVER, because the cost of the product is so low, that’s the equivalent of paying full retail for the products and only $1-$30 for shipping. A very good deal. Plus you get autographs if you want them!

X-Mas Surprise Packages are the way to go for those of you outside the USA. Please use it to get all the products you’ve been wanting except the shipping has been prohibitive. Please Note: We feel your pain regarding the high cost of shipping. We are not Amazon. We do not get the massive discounts as that multi-billion dollar company. We only pass along the cost of your chosen shipping method. Plus, we always try to make the orders going to countries outside of North America extra special to make up for the shipping cost. How to Make Your “Wish List”

The Palladium Surprise Packages are designed to simulate the fun, joy and surprise of the Christmas Season of Giving.

* Send a “Wish List” of 12-15 Palladium products (or more) you would like for the holidays, from which Kevin will select $95-$105+ worth of product. Depending on the cost or value of the books selected from your list, that’s typically 4-6 books for only $58 plus shipping.

* List product you know are in stock and available in the online store. Don’t ask for product that is out of print or not yet published, like Rifts® Titan Robotics or Beyond Arcanum. PLEASE give us a long Wish List and fill out the questions. It all helps us make your Surprise Package something you will enjoy.

* We suggest you list product in the order of preference starting with your most wanted. You might even want to number them 1-15.

* List only what you WANT. Do not list books you already have.

* If you do NOT want to be considered for a T-shirt, please write “No T-shirts.” If you DO WANT to be considered for a T-shirt, please make sure to give us your SIZE.

* You can ask for new and recent releases like BTS Creature Feature (not available till November), The Rifter® #85, Rifts® CS Manhunters™, the Lopan™ and South Winds™ Raw Previews, Rifts® 30th Commemorative Hardcover ($60 value), the new T-shirt, miniatures, and so on. Note: Asking for new books not yet available will delay shipping and you may not get your Surprise Package till after Christmas.

* Hardcover Editions will be limited and for the Surprise Package will have a value of $50 rather than the normal retail price of $39.99 or $36.99. Gold and foil editions will carry a $60 value. Only people who request a specific hardcover will be considered to receive one.

* When ordering MULTIPLE Surprise Packages send us a different Wish List for EACH Surprise Package you order. Note: Ordering multiple Surprise Packages are likely to result in some duplication. If you get duplicate items, maybe give them away to your friends, a library or game store, or sell them online. Multiple orders WILL result in some duplication.

* Kev and his elves are NOT mind readers. Please give us a clear idea of your wants or you may be disappointed by what comes in your Surprise Package or you may receive items you already own. You do NOT make our job easier when you say something like “I own everything, surprise me,” or “I don’t care, anything special.” It makes our job much, much more difficult. We want to make each Grab Bag special, but because we don’t know you or what books you own, like, or want, we do not have a clue as to what to send you unless you give us a variety of items on your list.

Please say something like this: “I own it all, but would love any duplicate Fantasy books signed by the Palladium crew.” Or “I have most of it, surprise me with T-shirts or unique items like signed art prints, or a coffee mug, if available,” and so on. BETTER YET, list 12-15 specific items on your wish list for each Grab Bag you order.

* Autographs from Kevin Siembieda, available staff and freelance artists and writers. If you “request” autographs we’ll sign EVERY book in your box! For many, especially those of you across the country and overseas, this is the only way you are likely to get autographs from Siembieda and crew. Take advantage of it. Many people find autographs make the item that much more special and valuable, and we are happy to oblige. There is no charge for this service.

* Dragonhead Sketch by Kevin Siembieda. Kevin is always happy to draw one of his trademark “dragonhead” sketches (each one slightly different) on a separate, 8½ x 11 inch sheet of paper upon request. $20 value. He also randomly includes such a sketch as a surprise in some books at no extra charge. Ho, ho, ho.

* Palladium Books reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to substitute or add products not on your Wish List, such as an issue of The Rifter®, art books, novels, art prints, bookmarks, one-of-a-kind negatives from books (they look like woodcuts), out of print books, gold editions, miniatures, mouse pads, color maps, posters, greeting cards, T-shirts, coffee mugs, baseball caps, pens, pencils, Rifts® note pad, and other items.

* No original art or sketches by other Palladium artists this year. Sorry, there is no artwork available this year, but you can ask for any of our “prints.” Original art is donated by the artists and with more and more of them moving to the digital medium, we have no art to surprise you with this year. I’ve been in dynamo-mode for the last week and have been writing like a man possessed, but the big announcement you’ll probably want to know is the Christmas Surprise Package starts today! Read on.

UPDATE: Rifts® Titan Robotics™. Sean has been similarly possessed putting in long hours on Rifts® Titan Robotics™, another great book.

Titan Robotics Kickstarter is coming. Sean has also been prepping for the Rifts® Titan Robotics™ Kickstarter that should launch in a week or two. Some unexpected related product ideas popped up that we know fans will enjoy. One came to me in a dream! That’s how focused and wound up we are about these two books. I told Sean about the dream and we decided to include that item as an add-on product in the Kickstarter. And then Sean came up with another cool idea for the Kickstarter and we’re gonna include it. Now I can’t wait for it to launch.

What else is going on? All kinds of stuff, but for me it has been nothing but nonstop writing and brainstorming for me and Sean. Other than a few hours in the evening spending some time with Kathy and watching TV, I’m writing or brainstorming. I have been focused to the point that I have not been returning correspondences (sorry, folks) and doing little else to get product to the printer. Negatives are unique and attractive, one-of-a-kind (on rare occasions two-of-a-kind if a page or section of pages were replaced or a second edition was made) works of art that resemble woodcut art and are very dynamic conversation pieces. Before digital printing, pages of a book were laid out by hand on a board, and each page was photographed. The plastic film negatives were then “ganged” on a massive sheet of Mylar 16 pages per big sheet, and the printing plates were made from the negatives – everything white, printing black.

When our printer, McNaughton and Gunn was going to discard them, Palladium acquired many (not all) of the old negatives. I am only keeping a few books for myself and make majority of the rest available to you. I sign each negative in silver and each comes with a Certificate of Authenticity. The negative comes on a white board inside a plastic magazine bag and looks fabulous framed! Fits in an 8x10 inch matt opening in a frame (each neg is roughly 8½ x 11 inches). All is not as it seems.

– Cozy Caverns Mysteries Chapter 2 – Supporting Local Businesses – Following Dani’s weird dream from the night before and Jazz’s unusually invigorating morning run, the D’Amore sisters hit the town of Cozy Caverns for a day of shopping and relaxation! After narrowly avoiding one hunky close encounter and picking up some reading material, the gals do lunch and then hit the library. There Dani’s jaw hits the floor and Jazz’s personal self-restraint is pushed to its limits. - November 18 – Cozy Caverns Mysteries “Bonus” Episode – Cozy After Dark – This is the one where we kick back, stop worrying so much about what's happening in the adventure (since it's over!) and talk about how we created the characters, the setting, adapting an adventure published in 1990 to a 2022 context, cultural issues in portrayal that specifically involve the US Southwest, and give a bunch of information about what we were thinking and feeling as the adventure was going on.

The next step in character data collection! This EXCEL template provides automation to your Rifts® character creation process. • Automated Cybernetics & Bionics: All cybernetics and bionics from Rifts® Ultimate Edition along with some favorites from other books can be selected from dropdown menus which then tabulate bonuses and add them to your combat stats. Prices also sum up so an enterprising Headhunter can keep track of his hardware and upgrades. Simple cybernetic body part diagrams even allow players to allocate the locations of their various cybernetic and bionic components.
• Freeform O.C.C. and Racial Power Section: A section for non-standard powers, special O.C.C. or racial abilities allows the player to add custom skills and powers that can be linked to those features to draw upon the character’s level of experience, I.Q. bonus or other stats so powers grow as the character advances.
• Character Building Section: On the main page of the document is a section to help you build your character, from customizing attributes, to adding non-standard bonuses from O.C.C. or racial abilities, to an optional point buy system for attributes.
• Helpful Hints and Suggestions: Red triangular tabs appear throughout the document. Hovering over the red tab with the mouse cursor will reveal useful data from sourcebooks, hints, suggestions and other information, such as what a particular stat means, how it’s used in the game and what things can add bonuses or affect it.
