Scholar’s Review #61 - Dimension Book 10: Hades. The first book laying the foundation for the Minion Wars series, Hades paints a bleak picture. Jam-packed with content, it very satisfyingly fleshes out the politics and geography, as well as provide a veritable bestiary of monsters and encounter/weather tables any GM can leverage. I only recently acquired this title and can say that I missed out since this was initially published, back in 2007. These brutish demons have launched a Megaverse-spanning conflict, and it’s time to know your adversary. Overall, this book feels “complete” and a solid entry for any library. It's been a while since I've been satisfied to this level. The only "issue" I could possibly present is the seeming pixelation effect of the illustrations. The art is good, and I believe Jeff Russel provided the lion's share of entries; I'm just not sure if this was digitized improperly, a printing thing, what have you. It seemed an odd departure from the norm, but it certainly supported the theme of the book very well.
