So, even in HU, ley lines have an effect on things.
There's not really any guide that I remember seeing on whether there is a ley line or nexus in one place or another..
Are there any Palladium books either in BtS, Rifts, etc that has a map of major ley lines in the world or at least North America?

Re: Ley Lines in HU Earth
The Mini-Atlas in the Rifts GM's Guide has maps which show major ley lines. There's few canonically shown for North America, but other regions are better detailed in that regard.

1st Ed BTS has a list of all the places of power in that setting. You could use the same list for HU since all the locations are RL locales.

Re: Ley Lines in HU Earth
I found an map on Tumblr about ley lines, it may prove useful to you: North American Ley Lines
EDIT: The swear filter doesn't seem to like the name of the Tumblr page in the link. Here's a link to the map directly: https://64.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_le91g715Ds1qcrkcto1_1280.jpg
