I was thinking of doing a Rifter submission of general equipment, tools and supplies that the average adventurer would use on a day-to-day basis. Thinks ranging from first aid kits to sleeping bags, gun scoped to multi tools, etc... I was planning on staying away from major weapons, armor, vehicles, etc. since their are so many new ones added each book. Instead it would focus on the more mundane equipment, something to give the game some additional background flavour.

For what setting/system?

Nice thing is since it a focus on non-weapon equipment, the stats would generally translate across multiple systems. For example a scope with 2,000 ft range and a +1 to strike should work across all systems. A sleeping bag is a sleeping bag... etc. Only stat that might change would be $$ costs.

I think he is referring more specifically to the tech variation between games. Modern age games will find things like multi-tools, solar recharging LED lights, and a coleman camp stove common place. In Rifts they will be quaint relics from the forgotten past, useable but no where near what is considered low tech. In Palladium Fantasy, you're talking about tech so far advanced that you might as well be Prometheus giving fire to the humans with all your wonders.

Ah, I see what you mean.
In that case I would think that Rifts, Hero's, System Failure, etc... type settings.
